Dear members and friends of First Congregational Church:
Lent is a time of wandering and wondering – a time to take a pause to consider the wilderness experience and to refocus our hearts and minds on Jesus. Perhaps this is consistent for you throughout the forty days of Lent, or perhaps you are like most of us where our Lenten disciplines and focus are more uneven. Either way, it is a season to remember that our life comes from God, is held by God, and is fulfilled by God. It is a time to return once again to learn and listen and follow and love, walking the road with Jesus.
Walking is so basic to how we live, move, and experience community. As we walk this Lenten road towards Easter, we are really happy to have chosen a special organization to support with our annual Easter Offering. MiracleFeet is an international aid organization with the mission to increase access to proper treatment for children born with clubfoot in low- and middle-income countries through partnerships with local healthcare providers. Here are a few surprising things to know:
What a wonderful way to make an impact on the health and wellbeing of children around the world! Please join us in generously supporting MiracleFeet by contributing to our Easter offering and celebrating these children and all of us walking through wilderness into the light. And perhaps on our own morning walks during these last days of Lent, we can each also support this great organization with our prayers in rhythm with our steps.
Thank you for giving to our Easter offering!
