4KINSHIP is excited to announce INDIGENOUS FUTURES 4EVER FUND (IF4), an extraordinary initiative dedicated to empowering our next generation of Indigenous leaders and change makers. INDIGENOUS FUTURES 4EVER is presented through a horizontal platform of community, uplifting every person involved and presenting all persons on an equal platform.
IF4 empowers young Indigenous creatives and cultivates Indigenous Futurism by providing exposure, collaborative opportunities, and resources across various disciplines, such as dance, music, design, and art. IF4 fosters interdisciplinary creativity, offers fair compensation, and helps participants build professional networks. By supporting Indigenous talent, IF4 is creating a space for Indigenous excellence and driving positive change in industries that have historically excluded them.
Past IF4 2024 initiatives and events have included: Illuminate, Leica 2024 Global Campaign,++4++, Yiłta Book Drop in partnership with NDN Girls Book Club, Indigenous Summer Sessions, NextGen Artisan Market, and Indigenous Futures 4Ever at Santa Fe Indian Market in partnership with Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week.
IF4 produced short filmes "Healing Wounds and Painting the Skies" featuring artist Than Povi Martinez and "We Belong Here" featuring artists Raven Bright and Wade Adakai, which were selected to 2024 San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
IF4 has featured performances by: Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Mato Wayuhi, Lucaa, Tia Wood and Xiuhtezcatl. Designers such as: Amy Denet Deal, Carla Fernandez, Two Smudge, Graziano & Gutierrez, HSTRY MKRS, Debra and Aleen Sparrow, Josh Tafoya, Lily Yeung, Jennifer Younger and Savage Kids, by Snotty Nose Rez Kids member Quinton Nyce.
Multidisciplinary artists and performers include: Serena Adams, Taigan Alred, Nizhonniya Austin, Raven Bright, E. Esperanza, Sarain Fox, Alicia Hanton, James Jones (The Notorious Cree), Mathew Delorme King, Shandien Sonwai LaRance, Than Povi Martinez, Di’orr Greenwood, Shawn Shine Harrison, Hataałii, Ty Fierce Mettaba, Memegwaans Johnson Owl, Saffron Thomas, Kellen Trenal, and KamiJo Whiteclay.
