If you've landed on this page to donate and help, THANK YOU!
In 2021, Amy Denet Deal, the Founder of 4KINSHIP, raised funds with the help of both corporate and personal donations including the legendary Tony Hawk himself, to build the reservations' first skate park situated in the remote area of Two Grey Hills, New Mexico. The park has been transformative to the surrounding communities by connecting youth through the skate of sport, offering children a safe place to play, acting as a community hub for other health and wellness activities such as yoga and meditation and the list goes on.
Diné Skate Garden Project is a community led project by Diné (Navajo) brand 4KINSHIP to bring the transformative sport of skateboarding to Navajo youth in Two Grey Hills New Mexico on Navajo Nation. After completing a skate park in this remote community in 2022, our 2023 goal is provide over 5000 skateboards to Indigenous Youth on Navajo Nation!
Currently, 75- 100 kids are using the park a day but there is not enough equipment to support. Amy has a partnership with Monarch Skateboards where she has access to boards for $15 and helmets for $9. At the moment, they need 5,000 pieces of each to accommodate the kids through the summer.
For a total of $26.00, you are providing one child with a board and helmet.
Your donation generously goes towards equipment (a small portion of which was already distributed to provide gear for the event), and as our friend and community member, I am hoping that you will join us in supporting this noble cause.
