While we look back on Giving Tuesday every year with joy and gratitude, this one was especially memorable for several reasons!
As an official partner of Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to share that $2.7B was generously given by millions of people around the world in a single day - thanks to changemakers like you!
Here are some highlights of the many ways that Pledge powered generosity on Giving Tuesday:
Cameo Launched New Giving Program
Cameo launched their new donations feature, powered by Pledge, allowing celebrities’ proceeds to go to hundreds of nonprofits around the world. From Lisa Vanderpump to Gary Busey and Gloria Estefan to Lance Bass, over 300 of your favorite stars raised money for 150+ nonprofits that they care about, like Every Day Action and North Shore Animal League America.
Evite Hit $25 Million Milestone
Evite announced they raised over $25 million dollars through Pledge! Through our partnership, anyone can raise money through Evite’s online invitations, allowing you to party with a purpose all year round!
Discovery Launched Turn Up! Fight Hunger Campaign
Discovery launched their annual “Turn Up! Fight Hunger” Campaign, in partnership with No Kid Hungry and powered by Pledge. To date, they’ve provided over one billion meals to children in need and their goal this Giving Season is to provide an additional 50 million meals to children.
Discovery also celebrated the day by providing $50 to each of their employees as part of their Employee Giving initiative. This offered the employee the ability to select from any of our 2 million organizations to donate towards, making an impact locally, nationally, or globally through their contributions.
Introducing Matching Donations in Zoom Events
As if the day couldn’t get any more exciting, we also released a new feature where event hosts can now match donations through Zoom Events! Double down on fundraising through Zoom to make a bigger impact during this Season of Giving.
