Tell us about your background. How did you end up at Pledge? 💜
I've worked with James Citron, CEO, and Paul Forsyth, CTO at Pledge, in the past and have known about Pledge since its inception. A few years later, we reconnected and I ended up on the Pledge team.
What's your favorite part of your job?
I really enjoy being able to use my favorite software development tools to build products that help create social impact.
What unique perspective do you bring to Pledge in our mission to Power Generosity?
I always try to look forward and learn about new technologies (e.g. crypto and AI) and how we can use them to help achieve our goals.
What's a project you've worked on at Pledge that you really enjoyed or felt was meaningful?
I really enjoyed adding crypto payment methods to our donation forms, given that I am a huge proponent of Bitcoin.
What causes do you care about most?
I find myself caring most about fundraisers for disaster relief and emergency response, such as the recent Maui fires. (Pledge raised over $2.1 million in donations for nonprofits supporting Hawai'i wildfire victims, thanks to your generosity and our team members like Alex! What brings you joy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, exploring nature, and making music as some of the hobbies that help me from burning out on coding.
