The Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund’s 2023 Gala, "Portraits of Strength and Resilience," aimed to shine a spotlight on inspiring women nonprofit leaders tackling global challenges 🌍. To amplify their impact, WPHF sought a way to maximize donations in real time while delivering an engaging experience for attendees. They needed a seamless, user-friendly solution that allowed guests to donate directly from their tables (or anywhere at the event), all while making the process exciting and interactive for their high-profile gala audience.
By integrating Pledge's Live Event Display, the WPHF gala found the perfect solution to elevate the evening. Attendees were able to donate effortlessly by scanning a QR code or texting WPHFGALA to 707070 right from their tables, which enabled them to contribute without disrupting the event. The display featured a live donor feed, showcasing contributions as they came in, adding excitement to the atmosphere. In just 2 minutes, the gala raised over $60,000, showcasing the generosity of the guests and creating an unforgettable night of impact 💜. The overwhelming success of the Portraits of Strength and Resilience gala, powered by Pledge’s technology, not only generated substantial funds but also elevated the mission of supporting women leading change in some of the world’s most challenging regions.
Throughout my journey with WPHF, I've witnessed the transformative strength of women working at the forefront of peacebuilding and humanitarian action. Less than 1 percent of global funding goes to women's organizations in places experiencing crises and conflict. That's unacceptable.
