Cultivate Creative Expression Across the Full Spectrum of Life for Vermonters With Disabilities

IAV programs serve Vermonters with disabilities of all ages, from birth to end of life. While the programming we offer for children and youth is deeply important, we also know that the importance of art does not lessen with age. In fact, a 2024 study published in the Journal of Behavioral Sciences showed that arts participation among adults has a “significant and positive relationship with flourishing, suggesting that more diverse and profound engagement in the arts leads to more enduring and widespread well-being.” As illustrated above, this is exactly what we see in our programs as well. 

In short, the arts are absolutely vital across the age spectrum of life and your end-of-year contribution can ensure this creative expression continues as we head into 2025!
