Feed a Therapy Horse for Giving Tuesday

At Shining Hope Farms, our mission is simple yet powerful: to enable children and adults with disabilities to achieve functional goals through the use of equine assisted activities and hippotherapy.

It is well-known that horses have a remarkable ability to positively impact the lives of individuals facing various physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges. The therapy horses at Shining Hope Farms play a crucial role in providing support, healing, and growth to those in need.

However, caring for these therapy horses requires substantial resources. That is why we are here today to raise funds specifically to "Feed a Therapy Horse." By contributing to this cause, you can directly contribute to keeping these incredible animals well-fed and healthy, ensuring they can continue to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

OUR GOAL

To raise enough money to feed our whole herd of 29 therapy horses for the next year by the 28th. This means we need your help to raise $48,256 or $1,664 per horse to ensure that our participants can go on receiving their amazing benefits (the majority, with no out-of-pocket costs to their families).
WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANTOur therapy horses do important work and have unparalleled benefits for our patients. They are the main and most valuable tool used during our therapy sessions which lead to the life-changing milestones our patients are making every day. They're also bringing hope, healing, and joy to so many, including Veterans. Feeding our therapy horses is one of our biggest and most challenging expenses and it is not covered by insurance reimbursements from our therapy services.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?We’re asking our amazing community to donate the cost to feed one therapy horse for one week (or more) which is $32. We’re hoping that all together we can get all 29 horses fed for 52 weeks!
