In the wake of the devastating Southern California fires, Kiley Coleman, founder of girltalk and girltalk gives back, has launched the girltalk Donation Center to offer long-term support to individuals and families who’ve lost everything. The Donation Center provides fire victims with clothes, shoes, food, household supplies and other essentials free of charge. The funds raised here will go directly to keeping the center running and making sure we can keep serving those displaced by the LA fires. These donations will cover operating costs like rent, utilities, transportation to deliver supplies, and purchasing necessary items that weren’t donated.
girltalk gives back is committed to providing not only immediate help, but also ongoing support. We know that recovery takes time, and many people will still need help long after the media attention fades. Kiley's own experience—her father lost his home in the Kern County fires—has made this project even more personal and close to her heart.
Now, in an exciting new chapter, girltalk gives back has partnered with Better Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to solving the homelessness epidemic in LA County by harnessing the power of the LA community. Together, this collaboration will enhance the reach and effectiveness of the girltalk Donation Center, offering both immediate relief and long-term assistance to those still reeling from the devastation of the fires. This partnership reflects the shared mission of girltalk gives back and Better Angels: to foster genuine community connections, offer reliable support, and build a foundation of hope. Recovery extends far beyond the initial crisis. The girltalk Donation Center will continue to be a place where volunteers, donors, and those affected by the fires can come together to heal, rebuild, and look toward a brighter future.
With the support of Better Angels LA, the girltalk Donation Center is a symbol of what can happen when communities come together, proving that care, connection, and collaboration can turn tragedy into opportunity for long-lasting change.
