Help build Fisher House II at South Texas Veterans HCS

Imagine receiving a call about a loved one who has been seriously injured. You want two things: 1) the best medical care possible; and 2) to be there. While military and VA hospitals provide quality medical care, “being there” for many military and veteran families is not always possible. Without the availability of free lodging, loved ones must arrange costly hotel stays. Some may choose not to receive treatment for terminal illnesses if loved ones are unable to be by their side. 

Full recovery can be a long journey. Fisher House makes it possible for loved ones to be at the bedside of our nation’s heroes by providing a caring environment in  “a home away from home” that offers a family much-needed financial relief.  At Fisher House, we believe that “a family’s love is good medicine”—not only for the ill, injured, or wounded but for everyone to heal together.
