The Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care (VPQHC) was deeply affected by the devastating flooding that hit Vermont in July 2023. Our offices, located in our beloved Montpelier community, were devastated. Due to the extensive water damage, we have had to undergo an entire renovation, replace all appliances and utilities, along with nearly all of our furniture and equipment. VPQHC's offices date back to 1865, and were originally built as a French second empire home for James G. French, a Montpelier merchant. The building is listed on the National Historic Register. While VPQHC has received generous donations, insurance funding, and grants, we still have a significant funding gap to cover our rebuilding costs, and rebuild in a way that maintains historic integrity.
