Nurse Heroes Live

There is an urgency to supporting our nurses and their families. Prior to COVID-19, we had a shortage of trained nurses in the U.S. If nothing changes by 2022, we will have about 1 million fewer nurses than we need.

Motivated philanthropists, leading media organizations and celebrities from around the world are joining forces to honor our Nurse Heroes through an exciting international art contest and series of digitally broadcast concerts. Join us for an all-star concert on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2020!

The initiative will provide funds for scholarships for continuing education of nurses; scholarships for the children of nurses; the endowment of research fellowships for the advancement of nursing innovation; and the touring and exhibition of Nurse Heroes art and the 'Women Who Dared' collection to select institutions and hospitals across the U.S., honoring Florence Nightingale and our modern day Nurse Heroes and their families. 

$25 pays for a set of nurse scrubs (standard nurse uniform) 

$50 pays for a nursing textbook 

$75 pays for a stethoscope 

$3,600 pays for one semester of tuition, fees and books for a student at a community college studying to be a License Practical Nurse (LPN or Nursing Assistant). 

$6,200 pays for one semester of tuition, fees and books for a student studying in-state at a public college for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN)

$12,400 pays for one year of tuition, fees and books for a student studying in-state at a public college for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to becoming a Registered Nurse. 

$100,000 fully funds the tuition, fees and books for 15 students studying at an in-state community college for the one year of study required to become LPN's. 

$1 million fully funds the tuition, fees and books for 20 students studying at an in-state public college for the four years of study required to receive their BSN and become RN's.
