Pledge to make a difference, together.
Who are the TRENA founding members and what are our goals?
The members or participants are renewable energy developers of offshore wind (such as rsted, CIP, WPD, etc.) and solar energy, NGOs, academics, and colleagues from Taiwanese think tanks. They came from different backgrounds, but they all had a common goal: that renewables in Taiwan could develop early on, and our English name: "Taiwan Renewable Energy Alliance (inspired by the International Renewable Energy Alliance).
Our goals are "to create a positive and supportive environment for renewable energies in Taiwan", in detail this means to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge for citizens so that they better understand renewables and their benefits, more closely with the government to improve the regulatory environment or To work together to create new laws, and to support educational tasks on renewable energy with full force and to actively promote civic engagement in renewable energies (for example energy municipalities) ... and more.
How can an NGO play an important role in the energy transition?
Through cooperation with congress and legislators, we have promoted the formulation of renewable energy-related bills to make them more friendly to the development of renewable energy, and established partnerships with environmental NGOs, and commit to green energy public welfare projects to promote Taiwan's vision of jointly supporting Taiwan's energy transition.
