A hip-hop artist was shot in the head during a crossfire at a music club. He was uninsured at the time of the shooting and accrued over $53K in hospital bills — after a steep uninsured discount. Music Health Alliance helped him find an affordable insurance plan that would cover follow-up care, physical and occupational therapy, and speech therapy needs. We also assisted his family with a grant for a full write-off from the hospital, set up his first PT/OT/speech appointments, and provided a mental health grant to help heal his trauma.

A tour manager lost his arm in a tragic accident, witnessed by his family. With no health insurance, he contacted Music Health Alliance. We secured affordable health insurance for him, negotiated $500K+ in medical bills down to $0, enabled him to secure a neurobionics prosthetic arm allowing him to continue his career, and arranged trauma counseling for his entire family.
