Maya Midwifery International is a 501(c)3 charity dedicated to assisting indigenous Guatemalan midwives and other local health providers in addressing the many obstacles to effective and sustainable health care in their communities. Our model is based on listening to local concerns and addressing issues beyond training sessions and direct provision of services. It is one of material, economic, and cultural support, educational development, and community empowerment.
