Our Mission

Founded in 2014, the AAPACN Education Foundation is the philanthropic arm of AAPACN. The AAPACN Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (tax ID 47-1713648) that funds and promotes the continued growth and development of nurses and of academic evidence-based research to advance the work of the nursing profession.

The AAPACN Education Foundation positively impacts the lives of 1.4 million people living in nursing homes by providing education scholarships as well as research grants for nurses committed to improving the quality of life and care for long-term care residents.

2024 Scholarships awarded at the 2024 AAPACN Annual Conference in Hollywood, FL

Amber Gorman, RN, received the 2024 Elevating Post-Acute Care Nursing Scholarship. She attends Capella University. Megan Larson, CNA, BLS, received the 2024 Frontline Heroes in Post-Acute Care Scholarship, funded by Broad River Rehab. Claudeen Buenviaje, LVN, received the 2024 Lighting the Way for Post-Acute Care Nursing Scholarship, funded by AAPACN Board Member, Robin Hillier and RHL Consulting. She attends Unitek College. Jorge Chacon Cordero, RN, received the 2024 Advancing Nurse Leadership in Post-Acute Care Scholarship. He attends University of San Diego.
