Juan Parsons graduated from the Transformation Program in October 2016, he continued living with The Harvest Center in their "extended phase" of the program so that he could continue getting the mentoring, professional development and supportive housing needed to be sustainable. Juan works 40+ hours a week at Amazon in their distribution warehouse. He's an active member of a local church; and he volunteers regularly with THC and other community groups. Juan contributes monthly to THC because he wanted to give back to the agency that lifted him up. In December 2017, Juan moved into his very own apartment and is working on a savings plan that will allow him to purchase his first home within a year. In the spring of 2018, Juan and his wife - Alicia - who've been estranged for 2 years reconciled and are restoring their marriage. "Every decision that we make should start by serving God without fuss," says Juan. The Transformation Program that Juan participated in, through The Harvest Center of Charlotte, is a faith based transitional housing service for single adult men and women who are affected by homelessness, poverty and unemployment and seeking to be transformed to live a more productive life.
