Because it's never "just an animal."
Forensic Veterinary Investigations, LLC partners with law enforcement to conduct clinical and postmortem examinations on animals suspected of being abused. The Animal Doe Project provides funding for these crucial exams in cases where the animal’s identity is unknown, and municipalities or law enforcement agencies are not authorized to cover the cost.
Animal Doe cases can be solved, but investigations are key to uncovering the truth. Your donation can help make these investigations possible. Thank you for your support!
Funding for examination into cat deaths is especially scarce. This is because dog licenses fund animal control agencies, and cats often go outside without tags or microchips. When they are found dead on the side of a road, it is often assumed they were hit by a car. In depth examinations often prove otherwise. We need to know what is happening in our communities in order to correct wrongdoings.
Found terribly abused, abandoned on a dead end street, Puppy Doe was an unknown dog. Unable to walk but able to express gratitude in response to kindness. Her case was solved, thanks to great detective work, a dedicated investigation and a thorough examination documenting her trauma. Her identity was discovered, her abuser was held accountable and remains in prison today. Puppy Doe was the inspiration for the Animal Doe Project.
Donations help investigators do the thorough work they want to do. Identifying, investigating and prosecuting crimes against animals helps keep us all safe. You donation, no matter how small, helps to increase professional animal cruelty investigations for unknown animals found dead in our communities.
Fundraising for an organization will help them help the world.
