Our Mission
NewU is the first new private nonprofit undergraduate university to call Washington, DC home in over 100 years. It is also the first new in-person college to launch in the US in the last 15 years.
Our Vision is that by the year 2030 other leading universities will adopt our business and academic model to transform Higher Education for the benefit of students, parents, and society.

Our very first conference room in the heart of Washington DC near DuPont Circle was made possible by the generous support of NewU team members and supporters. Our first class of students will enjoy this modern functional space for individual study time, student club activities, and faculty advising sessions.
