In the last twenty years, researchers have accumulated an impressive amount of data that are helping us to understand better the processes leading to cancer, as well as the means of preventing, controlling, and curing it.
Cancer is a complex disease that shows up in more than 200 various forms. The scale of the task is monumental and the needs in research are enormous. Our understanding of the disease at a genetic and molecular level will allow us to save innumerable lives.
