Founded in 1941, SAVE is an independent non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area. Through six core programs of rescue, shelter, health and welfare, spay/neuter, adoption, and humane education, save focuses on the rehabilitation and successful placement of treatable and adoptable animals. Save endeavors to build, foster, and strengthen the human-animal bond. On February 21, 2006, save merged with Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). Founded in 1998, FOHA concentrated on animal rescue and care in the Princeton area. The new union, renaming the organization as save, a friend to homeless animals, is now the largest shelter for companion animals in the Princeton area. Consolidating 75 years of community involvement and a shared philosophy and mission, the merger of SAVE and FOHA has led to a greater number of successful adoptions. SAVE operates as a limited admission shelter with contracts to serve Princeton, Lawrence, Hopewell, Montgomery and Cranbury animal control officers. Save depends mostly on private contributions to support its six core programs. The shelter facility houses approximately 75 dogs and cats at a time, and helps an average of 400 animals a year.

We exist to serve abused, abandoned and unwanted animals. The HVHS pursues its mission of promoting its core: the cause of animal welfare. In addition to sheltering abandoned and unwanted animals, HVHS actively seeks adoptive homes for these animals.

Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2015 by a group of Bismarck Animal Impound volunteers. This nonprofit was formed to alleviate pound overcrowding and euthanization.

Saving Paws is committed to the rescue, care and adoption of animals in need. We provide dogs and cats with the safety and compassion they deserve while we work to find them the best homes.

Central New England Equine Rescue was founded in 2003, we grew out of the need to rescue equines from slaughter, abandonment and neglect. Our mission at Central New England Equine Rescue,Inc is to rescue and rehabilitate horses, restoring them to their natural health and good spirit. Educating our youth and volunteers to provide a safe environment for healing. We have implemented an educational program on the proper care of horses to aid in the prevention of abuse and cruelty in the Northeast and Midwest.

Our mission is “Giving Hope To The Hopeless”. SNARR Northeast focuses on those animals least likely to receive another chance based on physical disabilities, illness and varied medical needs. We strive to prove these animals in need have the desire for a second chance, the will to survive and the ability to heal and thrive with a renewed spirit. Through our efforts, we hope to inspire our shelters and the public to view these animals with the same confidence and compassion. Our goal is to educate our communities and supporters and implement necessary programs and change that will help to end the needless killings in shelters across our country.

To prevent the suffering of abandoned cats through rescue, spay/neuter, medical care, shelter, and adoption to approved homes. To educate the public about the proper care of cats, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the benefits of adopting shelter cats. To operate as a no-kill, all-volunteer, non-profit organization.

Headin' Home Pet Rescue, founded in 2008, is a branch of Mapleview Animal Hospital. Striving to provide the best possible care to their animal friends, they became involved in rescue work back in 1994.
