Friends of the Sea Otter is committed to and advocates for the conservation of sea otters and the preservation of their habitat through education, research, and policy decisions that will ensure the long-term survival of this species and the health of the marine coastal environment.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for retired Thoroughbred race horses. We also provide care for feral free roaming cats.

Our mission is to provide care, comfort and kindness to companion animals without homes. The LCHS works towards ending unwanted and abandoned animals through spay/neuter. We strive to ensure the animals in our care are adopted into loving, forever homes by promoting compassionate, responsible pet ownership.

Ridgeback Rescue of the U.S. (RRUS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the identification, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, lost, surrendered or otherwise homeless Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs in the United States. Concurrently, RRUS is also dedicated to preventing same by education of responsible dog ownership regarding the proper care and training of Rhodesian Ridgebacks. RRUS is volunteer only, and their are no paid positions.  All the donations go towards saving ridgeback lives.

Since our founding in 1995 by Lynn Cancro, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.) has worked to find “forever homes” for abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused companion animals in the Pascack Valley area. All the animals in our care are in foster homes, which helps socialize the cat or dog and allows us to identify the best type of home for each animal to ensure a successful adoption. We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats with our Trap-Neuter-Release program. In addition, our team also strives to educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to decrease the number of unwanted pets.

Our mission is to help reduce euthanasia of healthy animals in our community. We raise money to assist rescue groups who save animals from local shelters and pay for associated vet fees including spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations and heartworm treatment if needed. We sponsor no-fee adoptions and free spay/neuter events in our our community.

The Institute for Bird Populations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1989 to study the causes of bird population declines. IBP's first major initiative was the Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) program, a continent-wide collaborative network of bird banding stations.

The mission of the Humane Society of the Ozarks (HSO) is to eliminate the suffering and promote the humane treatment of animals through reduced-cost spay/neuter programs, education and community outreach and financial assistance to individuals and organizations

Ferrets Dookin in the USA Urgent Emergency Rescue Group helps ferrets in urgent need. We help ferrets in poor living conditions sick, starvation, abuse and/or neglected We have placed lost/dumped, unwanted ferret in loving forever homes. Transport is arranged for ferrets to get to a shelter/rescue or to their new homes. We work with several shelters and rescues thru out the US to help the ferrets be placed in a safe environment, get the medical attention and rehabilitation needed for adoption. Foster care has been provided for ferrets that need to be placed in temporary foster. FDUSA has helped over 100+ ferrets. Our rescue is nation wide, with members who volunteer their time.

The mission of the Kindness Ranch is to provide a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for animals who have been used in laboratory research while fostering compassion for all animals.Consistent with our mission, we work to rehabilitate our dogs and cats in a home-like environment. Cats and dogs at The Kindness Ranch live together with their human caretakers in spacious yurts specially designed to meet their needs. They receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives.The Kindness Ranch also provides an adoption program for all the animals we can rehabilitate. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.***Kindness Ranch IS a 501c3 non profit organization. The Licking County Humane Society seeks to improve the lives of animals and people through advocacy, education, and support.

Our spay/neuter mission is to reduce pet overpopulation in our area by promoting low cost spay and neuter, along with education of TNR (trap, neuter and release) of feral cats. We help local people with feral cat colonies to keep their population under control Our rescue mission is to be the bridge for the unwanted animals between being homeless to getting adopted through a rescue or shelter. Our efforts include getting the animal complete vet care, including spay/neuter, dewormed and vaccinated, to transporting the animal to the rescue or the shelter. We do also foster and adopt out cats and dogs.
