Our Mission Statement is to significantly impact animal overpopulation through aggressive programs focusing on rescue, spay and neuter, adoptions, and education.  We do not believe euthanasia is the answer to population control.  All animals are equally important regardless of their health, age, temperament, appearance, or degree of socialization.  Overpopulation significantly contributes to animal abuse, neglect, disease, suffering and is the primary cause of euthanasia programs.  The best approach to overpopulation is spay and neuter, and educating the public as to the benefits of spay and neuter.

We are an “all” volunteer 501c3 “No Kill” rescue with a mission to search for & rescue abandoned pet and feral dogs & puppies, in the Everglades ecosystem of Florida. We medically test and treat for all illnesses and injuries, vaccinate, spay or neuter and socialize every dog. They remain under the care of our veterinarian and volunteers attending to all their needs, until the day of adoption or they await adoption at a qualified foster home. Nestled on 30 park-like acres in north Florida, Rooterville is home to over 400 rescued farm animals, primarily pigs of all types. Encouraging compassion, inspiring change is our mission at Rooterville and we've been faithfully executing on that mission for over 15 years. We share our beautiful sanctuary and our precious animal ambassadors with thousands of visitors every year. We tell their stories of abuse or neglect and encourage our guests to make kinder choices. Our hope is that guests who come through our gates will have an unforgettable experience that will help move them to transition to a compassionate, sustainable and health-promoting plant-based diet.  At Rooterville, we believe that by helping people understand that the simple choices they make every day have a profound impact on their own health, the environment, and the animals who live in misery until the time they are killed for food encourages them to make better choices in their daily lives, choices that better reflect who they are as caring individuals. Meeting the animal ambassadors at the sanctuary creates memories that will last a lifetime and encourages critical thinking about dietary choices. We want to GROW, we have created a magical place like no other and we want to share it with more people. That is why we are working hard to raise the funding to buy property near Orlando. This will allow many more thousands of guests the opportunity to visit and experience Rooterville and in so doing, help us generate more revenue from donations, sales of food, overnight stays and events, and on site and online gift shop sales to make our organization self sustaining. If there is one thing we would love to do at Rooterville, it is MORE. We don't have much time to turn things around for our beautiful planet and the wild creatures that are left on it. OUR FOUR PART MISSION: CARING-for abused and neglected farmed animals. PRESERVING-our land for native wildlife. EDUCATING-about animal protection and environmental ethics. ADVOCATING-for a compassionate society In 2013, we rescued our first farmed animals. We knew that if we could share their stories of courage and survival against all odds, we could create life-saving change for farmed animals everywhere. Our virtual education programs, in-person tours, events, outreach, and advocacy have reached people worldwide while remaining a safe harbor for locally abused, neglected, and discarded farmed animals. We give each animal that enters our sanctuary the best care possible. Through our rehab and physical therapy program, special dietary needs, and unique emotional needs, we stop at nothing to ensure the animals have everything they need to thrive once they arrive at Tamerlaine, which will now be their forever home.

Established in 1967, DFW Humane Society rescues unwanted and neglected pets in the Dallas-Fort Worth community and gives them a second chance in life through adoption. Our shelter holds approximately 80 rescued dogs and cats at any time. With a strong volunteer corps, we provide daily care, food, and socialization as well as arrange for pet wellness exams, vaccinations, heartworm testing and treatment, and special needs medical care for illnesses and injuries ranging from broken bones to major surgery.

Welcome to DFW's FurGotten Friends! DFW's FurGotten Friends provides a safe haven for stray and abandoned dogs while we search for their new furever homes. We take care of all health issues, have all shots done spay/neuter and supply love and socialization for the ones who can't speak for themselves. Through the efforts of a few we strive to save many. All this is done with the help of volunteers and donations from the people who care about the dogs the world has turned its back on.

Viva Los Gatos Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing and finding permanent homes for neglected, abandoned, and stray cats and kittens in Northeast Ohio. Our all-volunteer organization temporarily fosters cats and kittens in safe and loving environments and provides time to heal, needed medical services, and opportunities to socialize. All cats and kittens are spayed and neutered by licensed providers before they are adopted. Our organization educates the public on the benefits of spaying and neutering, and on the humane care of companion animals.

We are a foster-based only rescue group, which means we do not have a facility – all of our cats are being loved and cared for in people’s homes in Genesee County, Michigan. Our past experience has allowed us to help hundreds of animals and we look forward to helping many more. The purpose of The Life of Fostering Furbabies Animal rescue is to place animals in temporary foster homes to await adoption. During their foster periods, these animals will be socialized, treated medically if necessary and all basic needs satisfied.

The Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) has been serving the community since 1961, and endeavors to strengthen the human-animal bond by advocating and compassionately caring for animals. HSCO is a Socially Conscious Shelter that strives to ensure the best possible outcomes for homeless companion animals in our care and the community. At the core, HSCO works in collaboration with partners and the community to support the individual needs of people and their pets by providing access to thoughtful resources and services to improve the welfare of all vulnerable animals. Create food security by educating underserved communities on how to use Regenerative Climate Smart Agriculture to replace carbon emitting farming and reforestation practices. Focus on training women and youth on sustainable farming practices to help create long-lasting livelihoods. Reduce the importation of foreign food and increase the export of healthier organically grown food. Collaborate with international corporations to help fund the reduction of carbon through Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies to support underserved farming communities. Reduce crime and poverty by creating opportunities.

EFRC provides permanent homes for exotic felines that have been abused, abandoned or for some reason have nowhere to live out their lives, while educating the public about these beautiful cats. JOSEPHINE'S RATTERY & RESCUE'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE LOVE, CARE, AND SHELTER TO SURRENDERED AND RESCUED POCKET-PETS THAT ARE UNDER-SERVED IN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR GOALS ARE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE LOVE AND COMPANIONSHIP THAT ALTERNATIVE PETS PROVIDE AND INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT HEALTH WARNING SIGNS TO PROPERLY CARE FOR AND HOUSE SMALL PETS SO THEY ARE HAPPY AND HEALTHY. WE ARE BASED IN WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. WE TRAVEL ALL OVER SOUTH FLORIDA TO PICK-UP AND ADOPT OUT PETS. WE HAVE ADOPTERS IN KEY WEST, NAPLES, TAMPA, ORLANDO, AND JACKSONVILLE. WE SPECIALIZE IN THE CARE OF AND EDUCATION ABOUT RATTUS NORVEGICUS (NORWAY RATS); HOWEVER, IN SOUTH FLORIDA IF YOUR PET IS UNUSUAL, SUCH AS A CHINCHILLA, SUGAR GLIDER, HAMSTER, GERBIL, RAT, MOUSE, FERRET, BUNNY, OR GUINEA PIG, THERE ARE VERY FEW SAFE PLACES TO SURRENDER. SO WE WENT FROM A RAT RESCUE TO A SMALL ANIMAL RESCUE; BASICALLY NO CATS, DOGS, OR BIRDS. WE EVEN TAKE IN REPTILES, BUT THAT IS BECAUSE WE KNOW THE PRESIDENT OF THE HERPETOLOGICAL SOCIETY (WHO THINKS OUR AMBASSADORS ARE AWESOME) AND HE HELPS BY CARING FOR SURRENDERED REPTILES. WHEN IT COMES TO SMALL PETS, JOSEPHINE'S BELIEVES HEALING THEIR WOUNDS AND PROVIDING THEM SHELTER AND SECURITY IS AS IMPORTANT TO AS IT WOULD BE FOR ANY OTHER MORE COMMON PET. WE CARE FOR THE SMALL AND DISENFRANCHISED.. THE UNDERVALUED PRAY ANIMALS DOMESTICATED OVER 150 YEARS AGO .. SO LONG AGO THAT THEY ARE VULNERABLE AND COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON US FOR THEIR SAFETY AND WELL-BEING. JOSEPHINE'S IS JUST LIKE THE ANIMALS THEY ADVOCATE FOR. SMALL BUT WE HAVE A LOT OF HEART AND PASSION FOR WHAT WE ARE DOING. WE HOPE TO CHANGE MINDS AWAY FROM THE SIGMAS ABOUT RATS AND OTHER ANIMALS. SO MANY PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE HOW SOCIAL THEY ARE AND HOW MUCH LOVE AND CARE THEY NEED AND GIVE BACK. THIS IS A DIFFERENT AND WONDERFUL WORLD.
