In operation for over two decades, the shelter has helped provide care and find loving homes for over 25,000 animals.

Foothill Dog Rescue Of The Sierras

Foothill Dog Rescue is a 100% All volunteer organization dedicated to re-homing dogs from over crowded animal shelters, owner surrenders and underserved communities. We also sponsor vaccine and microchip clinics for our County and have sponsored mobile alter clinics in low-income communities and educate the public on the importance of spaying and newtering pets. We are called in as a back-up support, care and management of evacuated dogs for our local Animal shelter when wild fires hit our County. We hold a free weekly "Pack Walk" for our community attended by 20-40 dogs and their owners to provide socialization, leash training and tips for handling dogs.
