Last Chance Forever

Last Chance Forever, The Bird of Prey Conservancy's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick, injured, and orphaned birds of prey. Raptors are important ecological barometers, indicator species, that tell us messages concerning the over-all health of our environment. After all, they live on the same earth that we do, breath the same air, and drink the same water. Being smaller than us, toxins and other forms of environmental ills will affect them quicker than humans. LCF also provides sanctuary for raptors that are unfit to return to the wild. Many are used as Educational Ambassadors in public demonstrations, or as surrogates used to teach young raptors how to survive in the wild. LCF performs over 300 educational programs a year to a wide variety of audiences in varied venues.

Humane Society Of Carroll Co Inc

The Humane Society of Carroll County has been advocating for the health and proper care of animals for nearly 75 years. In 1945 a group of concerned citizens formed the Humane Society of Carroll County. In 1977, the Carroll County commissioners directed the Humane Society to enforce domestic animal laws, sell dog licenses and shelter animals. In 1981 a new county animal shelter was opened where it stands today. The Humane Society had six employees at that time. A large livestock holding facility was built in 1983 with donated funds, enabling the Humane Society to shelter loose livestock in a safe environment until an owner could hopefully be found. Today the Humane Society of Carroll County employs 14 full time and 6 part time staff members and adopts out numerous animals each year.

Northwest Boxer Rescue

Northwest Boxer Rescue (NWBR) believes that every boxer deserves a chance to live a happy life in a loving home. Abandoned or homeless Boxers will always find shelter, medical care, and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR. By working with committed volunteers and local veterinarians we are able to rescue boxers every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them perfect loving forever homes. Working in conjunction with city and county groups, NWBR strives to educate the public and help end animal overpopulation and needless suffering. The commitment to share the love of Boxers is never ending. We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. Our animals are evaluated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any necessary medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

Grand Canyon Wildlands Council

Grand Canyon Wildlands Council, founded in 1996, is a group of scientists, outdoor enthusiasts, and ardent conservationists working toward creative, science-based solutions to the threats facing the natural systems and wildlife of the Grand Canyon ecoregion. The mission of Grand Canyon Wildlands is to create and apply a dynamic wildlands network that ensures the existence, health, and sustainability of all native species and natural ecosystems in the Grand Canyon and the lands that surround it. To this end, Grand Canyon Wildlands uses hands-on scientific research to inform the management of the region's wildands, wildlife and waters. For example, we are working to identify important habitats like springs and old growth forests that need protection. In addition to "saving the pieces," we are working to heal the region's ecological wounds by restoring native vegetation and returning species that have been extripated like the wolf and the river otter.

Dachshund Rescue Educationawareness & Mentoring Dream Of Geo

dreamrescue.org DREAM stands for DACHSHUND RESCUE, EDUCATION, AWARENESS, and MENTORING We are an all-volunteer organization that rescues dachshund and dachshund mixes. We provide foster homes for abandoned, abused, or unwanted dachshunds and help them on their way to finding a permanent and loving home. VISION & MISSION We envision a time when every dachshund in Georgia has a loving home for its entire life. We believe that the welfare of our companion animals is an indication of the health of our society. We see the current welfare of our companion animals as a disease. To treat the symptoms of this disease, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dachshunds in need. To treat the causes of this disease, we educate the public on compassionate dog guardianship of any breed. We want to have a deep, direct impact in a limited geographic area, rather than a small impact in a large geographical area.

We are not affiliated with any national organizations, such as the Humane Society of the United States. We rely solely on the limited revenue generated by our programs and fees, and on the tremendous generosity of our community. In fact, the majority of our annual revenue comes from charitable giving! We serve Vermont’s most populated county, Chittenden, as well as Grand Isle County. Founded in 1901, HSCC has been serving both animals and people for well over 100 years. The original facility was built by June & Herb Davis, considered the modern-day founders of HSCC, but was outgrown by the late 1990’s. Our current facility was completed in October of 2002 and boasts nearly 12,000 square feet of animal care and adoption space, where we take in over 1,400 animals each year and welcome as many as 20,000 visitors annually. The majority of the animals at HSCC are cats and dogs, but we also provide care and services for small animals such as rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs.

Rooterville A Sanctuary

Nestled on 30 park-like acres in north Florida, Rooterville is home to over 400 rescued farm animals, primarily pigs of all types. Encouraging compassion, inspiring change is our mission at Rooterville and we've been faithfully executing on that mission for over 15 years. We share our beautiful sanctuary and our precious animal ambassadors with thousands of visitors every year. We tell their stories of abuse or neglect and encourage our guests to make kinder choices. Our hope is that guests who come through our gates will have an unforgettable experience that will help move them to transition to a compassionate, sustainable and health-promoting plant-based diet.  At Rooterville, we believe that by helping people understand that the simple choices they make every day have a profound impact on their own health, the environment, and the animals who live in misery until the time they are killed for food encourages them to make better choices in their daily lives, choices that better reflect who they are as caring individuals. Meeting the animal ambassadors at the sanctuary creates memories that will last a lifetime and encourages critical thinking about dietary choices. We want to GROW, we have created a magical place like no other and we want to share it with more people. That is why we are working hard to raise the funding to buy property near Orlando. This will allow many more thousands of guests the opportunity to visit and experience Rooterville and in so doing, help us generate more revenue from donations, sales of food, overnight stays and events, and on site and online gift shop sales to make our organization self sustaining. If there is one thing we would love to do at Rooterville, it is MORE. We don't have much time to turn things around for our beautiful planet and the wild creatures that are left on it. We need your help to be the change in this world! Rooterville is an organization your brand would be proud to associate with!

Rescue Animal Mp3 Project

Rescue Animal Mp3 Project, founded by North Canton, Ohio veterinarian Pamela Fisher, DVM, is a unique program designed to enrich the lives of abandoned animals in Stark County shelters and across the US. Thirty hours of pet calming music is loaded onto Mp3 players and donated free-of-charge to shelters and rescue organizations. Playing soothing pet music promotes relaxation by creating a calming environment. Animals are better able to cope with the stress of shelter environments, and in turn, this improves their quality of life. Dogs and cats that are calm and well-behaved are much more desirable to adopt. This outcome is accomplished through educating rescue and shelter workers about the benefits of calming music and how it will help the health and well-being of the animals in their facilities. The evaluation feedback has shown that the music also has a calming effect on humans who work at the shelters and visit to adopt, cultivating calm treatment of the animals.

Stepping Stones Canine Rescue

DOG RESCUEWith years of animal rescue and fostering experience between them, a group of friends recognized the need for a canine only rescue group in the Triad area. Consolidating their shared goal to help dogs of all breeds find the best possible home, while also matching adopters with their ideal companion, they joined forces to create a new rescue group. Stepping Stones Canine Rescue is a charitable and educational non-profit corporation, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Our volunteers share an enthusiasm for dogs and support a mission to rescue, protect, provide sanctuary and ultimately find adoptive families for abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention needed to insure their best health before adoption. All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality, helping us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future family.
