WELFARE OF HOMELESS ANIMALS

The mission of The Wild Animal Sanctuary (TWAS) is to rescue and provide life-long homes for captive great cats, bears, wolves and other large carnivores, which have been abused, abandoned, exploited and illegally kept and to educate the public about causes and solutions to the dramatic plight of thousands of captive wildlife in the United States.

Fans of Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is an integral part of WCRAS’ lifesaving mission. We focus on creating second chances for families who think their only solution is surrendering a pet to a shelter or simply abandoning them. Plus, as WCRAS’ nonprofit advocacy group, we are always available to help them in times of need.

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, founded in 1995, is the nation’s largest natural-habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered elephants. It operates on 2,700 acres in Hohenwald, TN – 85 miles southwest of Nashville. The Sanctuary exists for two reasons: • Provide captive elephants with individualized care, the companionship of a herd, and the opportunity to live out their lives in a safe haven dedicated to their wellbeing. • Raise public awareness of the complex needs of elephants in captivity, and the crisis facing elephants in the wild.

The mission of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - Angell Animal Medical Center is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society.

To provide a cage-free, no-kill shelter for our rescued animals where they can experience the best care in a loving environment until they are adopted. Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. CCI serves people all over the US with training centers in Northern and Southern California, Ohio, New York, and Florida, as well as dozens of volunteer groups and satellite offices.
