Fans Of The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS)

Fans of Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is an integral part of WCRAS’ lifesaving mission. We focus on creating second chances for families who think their only solution is surrendering a pet to a shelter or simply abandoning them. Plus, as WCRAS’ nonprofit advocacy group, we are always available to help them in times of need.

Elephant Sanctuary

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, founded in 1995, is the nation’s largest natural-habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered elephants. It operates on 2,700 acres in Hohenwald, TN – 85 miles southwest of Nashville. The Sanctuary exists for two reasons: • Provide captive elephants with individualized care, the companionship of a herd, and the opportunity to live out their lives in a safe haven dedicated to their wellbeing. • Raise public awareness of the complex needs of elephants in captivity, and the crisis facing elephants in the wild.

Marine Mammal Center

The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary hospital, research and educational center dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals, primarily elephant seals, harbor seals, and California sea lions. Its research team studies the causes of illness in these animals, and by doing so, learns about conditions affecting the health of marine mammal populations and the oceans – discovering conditions that can affect humans as well. In addition, the Center’s education programs teach thousands of students and the visiting public each year about marine mammals and the urgent need for environmental stewardship of earth’s marine environments.

Adams County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals

The Adams County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), is an IRC 501 c-3 non-profit organization that provides shelter and care for lost, abandoned and abused animals, investigates cases of cruelty to animals, recommends the prosecution of persons engaging in animal neglect or cruelty, helps control animal overpopulation and educates the community about spay/neuter programs, animal wellness and safety.

Meow Stories is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit all volunteer foster based cat rescue which was founded in 2009. Meow Stories specializes in cats and kittens coming from underserved rural shelters across Virginia mainly below the I64 corridor and private rescuers in these areas as well as several rural shelters in WV and TN .
