The Mission of the Panhandle Humane Society is to provide a nurturing and fear-free environment for the community and its pets in our care utilizing the Five Freedoms model. The Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare: 1. Freedom from hunger and thirst by easy access to fresh, clean water and a diet to maintain health and vigor. 2. Freedom from discomfort by providing an appropriate environment, including shelter and a comfortable resting area. 3. Freedom from pain, injury, or disease by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment. 4. Freedom to express normal behavior by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal's own kind. 5. Freedom from fear and distress by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering. The Five Freedoms were developed in a response to a 1965 UK Government report on livestock husbandry, and were formalized in a 1979 press statement by the UK Farm Animal Welfare Council. The Five Freedoms have been adopted by professional groups including veterinarians and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The Center for Pet Safety’s mission is to have an enduring, positive impact on the survivability, health, safety and well-being of companion animals and the consumer through scientific research, product testing and education.

CCAR is a 501c3 organization located in Maryland. Our goal is to reduce the number of cats in shelters and on the street. We focus on cats that are in crisis situations because of behavior, health, or family issues.

Gotham Whale is a source of education, advocacy, and science for the inhabitants of New York, terrestrial and marine. They contribute to the improving health of New York’s marine environment, for the betterment of both humans and whales.

The mission of Camp Able of Buffalo Gap is to cultivate healthy, independent living for people with special needs through equine-assisted therapy and skills-based training, with a special focus of using horses that have been rescued from difficult circumstances. The vision of Camp Able of Buffalo Gap is that self-sufficiency is a reasonable and achievable goal for humans, regardless of mental, emotional and physical capabilities, with the full acceptance and understanding of their caregivers and society at large.

OUR MISSION IS TO RESCUE AND FIND HOMES FOR SMALL DOGS, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON ALTERING AND PROMOTING THE IMPORTANCE OF ANNUAL VETERINARY CARE TO PREVENT THE FURTHER SPREAD OF ANIMAL DISEASES AND QUALITY FOR THE HEALTH OF ANIMALS.

It is Partners in Animal Care's mission to support the programs and initiatives of Greenville County Animal Care by engaging the community, increasing awareness and raising funds to enhance the health, welfare and environment of companion animals.

The mission of Friends of the Animal Shelter in Hancock County is to mobilize the community to: Support the animal shelter; Facilitate the spay and neuter of dogs and cats, and; Improve the general health and welfare of the animals of Hancock County.

Friends Fur Life Rescue is a 501(c)3, a non-profit organization that is strictly made up of animal-loving volunteers. Their mission is to rescue “at-risk” dogs and cats that have been discarded and forgotten. They focus on the seniors, the ones with health issues and those abandoned, abused or neglected. Many animals we take in have extensive health or behavior issues and are pulled from local shelters before they are euthanized. Their only goal is to give every animal their furever home.

Our goal is to find quality homes for the many unwanted, neglected and abused horses in our area. We also provide sanctuary for equines that cannot be adopted due to health, behavioral, or other reasons.
