Our mission at Horizon Wings is to rehabilitate birds of prey for release into the wild in order to maintain their population, and to educate the community to enhance awareness of the environment. It is our hope by doing this that we reach people of all ages and create the desire in them to help preserve our natural world.

TO PROVIDE LONG-TERM HUMAN AND ANIMAL SERVICES TO RESIDENTS OF YORK COUNTY THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT FIND PERMANENT, LOVING HOMES FOR DISPLACED ANIMALS, HELP CONTROL ANIMAL POPULATION GROWTH, INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE CRUELTY OFFENDERS AND EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT ANIMAL WELLNESS AND SAFETY.

Life is Better Rescue is committed to helping the shelter pet population find forever families and new beginnings, and nothing about that has changed in these current times. For those who aren't aware, Denver Animal Shelter (among others) has had to shut its doors to adoptions.

We, the Almost Home Humane Society, care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost and neglected animals.

To provide leadership in the implementation of public policy concerning animal issues, and to participate in the humane management of the area's increasing animal population.  We will also provide educational programs to assist residents in caring for and enjoying their pets and will work to improve public awareness of companion animals' ability to enhance the quality of life in our community.

Rescue and Adoption Program. They are dedicated to finding forever homes for displaced or abandoned dogs and cats and educating the public about pet over population and the benefits of spaying and neutering. Paw Prints accepts into its Rescue and Adoption Program stray cats, kittens, dogs and puppies from the general public as foster space permits.

Our mission is to protect and serve animals during their greatest time of need, assist our community pets and their people, and offer homeless pets a second chance at a first-rate life. By providing humane education along with free or low-cost resources, we hope to reduce the homeless pet population in our area.

Bear mortality related to human conflicts is perhaps the largest single factor affecting long-term population viability. As human populations continue to extend into bear habitat throughout North America, either through residential development, recreational use or industrial use, bear human conflicts increase. Our organization aims to reduce human caused bear mortality and incidents of human-bear conflict. This is achieved through specialized training courses and innovative applied research. We are involved in a variety of initiatives that focus on reducing people’s interactions with bears while living, working and recreating in bear country. These include our unique Bearproof Garbage Bin Loaner Program, Bear Hazard Assessments, and Natural Attractant Management. Please see www.bearconflict.org for more information.

We are dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. Moreover, we educate the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals. We are advocates for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population, while providing quality care to Brevard’s abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners in new “furever” homes.

Mission: The Humane Society of Warren County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care to abandoned, abused, homeless and neglected animals in our community. We aim to educate pet owners on the importance of vaccinations and population control and to place adoptable pets in loving homes. Geographic Area Served: Front Royal/Warren County, Virginia

Mutts and More Animal Rescue is wholly dedicated to interim compassionate and humane care and rehabilitation for lost, abused and abandoned animals, upholding their rights for such, protecting animals from abuse and neglect and exploitation, and placing them into responsible and loving homes. They are committed to animal population control by supporting free or low-cost spay and neuter programs and by providing public education.

The Animal Rescue & Foster Program is dedicated to helping abandoned puppies and kittens. ARFP provides temporary foster homes and medical care for homeless puppies and kittens and places them in permanent adoptive homes with responsible pet owners. ARFP requires and ensures that all of the animals adopted are spayed/neutered to help decrease the stray over-population problem.
