Our volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization carries out this mission by fundraising for needs above and beyond the City of East Orange Animal Shelter’s budget, increasing exposure for the shelter’s adoptable animals, funding shelter diversion programs to keep pets in homes, and connecting the shelter’s animals with adopters and rescue groups.

Indo-Pacific Conservation Alliance

The Indo-Pacific Conservation Alliance (IPCA) is dedicated to the study and conservation of the native ecosystems of the tropical Indo-Pacific region and support for traditional peoples in their stewardship of these globally significant natural resources. Our current field projects are located in Indonesia and New Guinea. Our main program is with the Asmat community of southwestern Papua, Indonesia, in the lowlands of Lorentz National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the largest and most diverse protected area in the Asia-Pacific Region. Our conservation successes include halting destructive commercial logging and fishing operations. IPCA is based at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rather than establish in-country offices, which is both expensive and unnecessary, we work with and through local partners to minimize overhead costs and put financial resources into the field where it is urgently needed. IPCA was formed in 1998 in collaborative association with scientists from the Smithsonian Institution, Bishop Museum, and other leading scientific and conservation organizations. Our projects are science-based and driven by our desire to work in authentic collaboration with indigenous communities, in-country scientists, local conservation groups, and other stakeholders. Our geographic focus is on the tropical Indo-Pacific region, a vast area that includes Indonesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia -- by far the most biologically and culturally diverse area of the planet.

Pan African Sanctuary Alliance

Our goal for PASA is to be an invaluable resource for primate sanctuaries throughout Africa. Recognizing the intrinsic value that wildlife sanctuaries provide as a nexus of long term commitment to enforcement of wildlife laws, animal welfare and conservation of wild primates, we will advocate for our member sanctuaries on these and other relevant issues and provide a readily accessible international communication network for these members. PASA's programs will evolve with the threats that face African primates and the needs of our members; we will continuously seek creative solutions to provide our members with the best tools to promote long term success in the fight to protect and care for Africa's primates. We will accomplish this while maintaining PASA's Culture of Trust and Caring. We will follow PASA's Code of Values which includes transparency, collaboration, fairness, competence, humility and respect both internally with our member sanctuaries and in our relationships with supporters, governments, and non-governmental organizations. Every African primate sanctuary, regardless of size, will be able to obtain quality training and access to conservation services from a membership organization that puts its members' collective interests first and foremost.

Michigan Pet Fund Alliance

Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance

HOPE is a unique, life saving program that began in March 2005. To date, over 300 dogs have been saved through this collaborative program that partners animal shelters, rescues, correctional institutions, and entire communities. HOPE currently works in conjunction with the PA State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill. This program pairs carefully screened inmates with shelter dogs who have been evaluated for their sociability for a period of eight to ten weeks. The inmates work together with a professional trainer, prison staff, and the HOPE team to provide the dogs with basic obedience training, socialization, and behavior modification. The dogs involved in the program graduate with a wealth of valuable skills that help give them a paw up on finding a home. By the time the HOPE dogs are paroled, the dogs have become more confident, better behaved, and they are looking forward to starting a new life on the outside.
