Saving Great Animals is a matchmaking rescue organization focused mainly on dogs. We work tirelessly to match the best pet to your family based on breed, lifestyle and other factors. With more than 6000 lovingly homed since 2007, we are proud of our dedicated all-volunteer team and foster homes for bringing new life to pets with loving homes to last their lifetime. We adopt out only after a dog has been spayed/neutered, updated on shots, has received proper medical care and chipped. We are dedicated to lowering the dog reproduction population, which leads to millions of lost lives.
Our spay/neuter mission is to reduce pet overpopulation in our area by promoting low cost spay and neuter, along with education of TNR (trap, neuter and release) of feral cats. We help local people with feral cat colonies to keep their population under control Our rescue mission is to be the bridge for the unwanted animals between being homeless to getting adopted through a rescue or shelter. Our efforts include getting the animal complete vet care, including spay/neuter, dewormed and vaccinated, to transporting the animal to the rescue or the shelter. We do also foster and adopt out cats and dogs.

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) is a private, non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization and sanctuary. In the 30 years since ARC's inception, ARC has grown to become the largest no-kill sanctuary located in Southwest Florida servicing Lee and surrounding counties. Our mission focus is to reduce the homeless pet population and euthanasia rates in our area through cat and dog adoptions, education, outreach, community programs, and collaboration with other animal welfare government and non-government organizations. ARC does not euthanize for length of stay, behavior or treatable illnesses/injuries and often takes in animals in need of urgent or prolonged medical care.
