2 X 2 Rescue Corporation

They are dedicated to bettering the lives of overlooked, neglected, or special needs shelter animals. It is their belief that some animals need more attention with medical, social, or behavioral issues than most shelters are willing or able to provide. They are dedicated to educating the public about the animals in need, and how they can help. Prevention and education are the key factors in animal care. Each animal deserves the perfect forever home and it is their commitment to them that they find it.

Going BIG means that our fosters and volunteers always show up in a big way and are incredibly hands-on, passionate, and dedicated, whether they are volunteering remotely, at our kennel, or at our adoption events. Ruff House Rescue is the largest 501 (c)(3) non-profit rescue on the South Shore of Long Island. Our mission is to seek out under-served shelters and communities where we can make the biggest lifesaving impact. Our goal is to create a world where the kind and rewarding experience of adoption is the standard. We do this through tireless passion, commitment, and advocacy. We are a foster-based network of animal lovers who seek to save as many lives as possible, as fast as we can. As a largely volunteer-based organization, we depend on the generosity of our Ruff House family to do this life-changing work.

Parrot Rescue Center

The Parrot Rescue Center of Costa Rica is a 501(c)3, non profit rescue center that collaborates with the local Costa Rican Ministry of the Environment and Energy (MINAE). Their primary focus is to rescue, rehabilitate, and, whenever possible, release parrots that have been kept in captivity illegally. It is a pivotal goal of the PRC Mission to release as many birds as possible so that they can fly free. For those that are unable to be released, they provide a permanent, safe environment that fulfills their physical, mental and social needs.

STONECLIFFE ANIMAL RESCUE

Stonecliffe is a 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter that has saved the lives of over 7,000 dogs and puppies since 2003. Operated by volunteers and located in Lemoore, CA, we specialize in the rescue of both large and small breed puppies and dogs, whelping mothers and emergency cases. We are very proud of the work we do on behalf of abandoned animals. Before being placed with adoptive families our dogs are pack-socialized, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and are given a clean bill of health.

Pink Whales Foundation

The Pink Whales Foundation ("PWF") was founded in 2012 by local Boston-area professionals who remain passionate about the sport of Lacrosse and giving back to their local community. While each member of the founding team has played at various levels (Club, Division 1, Professional) we are all dedicated to improving both the sport of lacrosse and endorsing activism within our local communities. The PWF is setting about to engage young professionals to increase their involvement in the community through paying it forward, which in turn increases the positive visibility of our sport and amplify the "lacrosse player image". Our view is that student-athletes should be exemplary citizens, students, and athletes in that order. The Boston-area lacrosse community is endowed with the potential to affect immediate and lasting change but is largely underutilized and disconnected. It is our goal to sponsor a variety of lacrosse tournaments, networking events, and community activities to increase efficacy among this high-energy group of individuals. These events are ways that can improve our connection with the sport, our local community in Boston, and philanthropic initiatives.

Birds Of Paradise Sanctuary & Rescue

Our mission is to be a voice for captive exotic birds and to promote unity within the avian community. We work to fulfill our mission by providing a safe haven for abused or unwanted exotic birds (regardless of species, age, special needs or behavior issues), re-socializing and re-homing eligible companion parrots, and providing educational resources to the avian community. We firmly believe (as do many other animal rights and animal welfare organizations) that animals are not ours to exploit for entertainment or profit, and thus, they should not be bred for these purposes. However, we recognize that there is a diverse range of opinions regarding this issue.

Country Acres Rescue

Founded in 2000, Country Acres Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, St. Louis based organization who’s primary concern lies with the overpopulation and unnecessary suffering of domestic animals in our community. Thus, we are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization and placement of homeless, abandoned, and abused/neglected cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. At our West County shelter, we provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment to pets waiting for loving and caring adoptive homes. In addition, we are committed to promoting better care and understanding of animals through education with an emphasis on the importance of spaying and neutering.

Greater Dayton Labrador Retriever Rescue And Referral Group Inc

GDLRR was started in December 2004 by a group of business women who saw a need in the Dayton Ohio area. In the last six months, they have branched out and now have numerous fosters in Columbus OH as well. Due to the popularity of the Labrador Retriever in the US and rated as AKC's most popular breed for the last 15 years, has caused over breeding. They help to find homes for these unwanted dogs by placing them in a loving foster caregiver's home until a permanent home can be found. They feel by having dogs in a home environment, they can share information about the dog and assist in getting the dog crate trained, basic obedience, socialization skills, and housebreaking.

Greyhound Adoption Center

They find loving homes for rescued track greyhounds and greyhound mixes. Their program focuses on each dog’s well-being, providing quality medical care and TLC as they transition to forever homes. The Greyhound Adoption Center ensures that each dog is well-matched to its new family. Transportation, food, shelter and medical care — often including extensive surgeries for broken legs sustained on the track — are provided. Many dogs are housed in cage-free modules complete with air conditioning and dog runs. The dogs socialize with people, other dogs, cats and children, all in an effort to assess their behavior via their expert profilers. Trained adoption representatives profile each dog and each adopter to find the right fit.

Second Chance Ranch Rescue Inc

THEIR MISSION FIRST: To rehabilitate and give a second chance to lost, forgotten, or misunderstood dogs in order to help them find their furever home. SECOND: To reduce adoption return and failure rates by implementing a thorough adopter evaluation process, which includes ensuring a strong human/dog match, adopter education and adoption integration plans. THIRD: To offer a safe and well suited environment for dogs within our community to play, practice socialization skills and improve overall behavior. FOURTH: To work with our communities to raise awareness about the misconceptions of bully type breeds and rescue dogs, the challenges associated with rescue work, and the many ways individuals can support dogs in need.

Mainely Rat Rescue

Mainely Rat Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue focusing on rats, hamsters, guinea pigs and other pocket pets. We do not have a physical shelter, but instead have a large network of foster homes throughout the northeastern United States. All animals are properly cared for while in the custody of MRR, provided with food, shelter, socialization, and medical treatment when needed. We work closely with several area veterinarians. We are a “no-kill" rescue, and only perform humane euthanasia after careful consideration, when it is decided to be in the best interest of the animal. Mainely Rat Rescue is an all volunteer organization and does not receive funding from the state or any government agencies.
