Visions Of The World

VISIONS OF THE WORLD was started with the mission to raise awareness, change perceptions, educate and support those who need representation. Our current mission are the animals that are losing their habitats and need protecting. While creating the series of fine art photography books LIFE Behind Bars, I realized the importance of the thankless work done by the wild animal sanctuaries and conservations groups to save species and how crucial it is for me to give back and support their efforts to protect and preserve endangered species and their habitats. A portion of the proceeds from book sales and associated merchandise will go to the wildlife conservation institutions that protect and preserve these precious animals. - Julian Starks

The Flying Dog Foundation

The Flying Dog Foundation helps make profoundly positive, life-saving changes in the lives of dogs in dire situations by awarding grants to partner rescue organizations. The primary focus is on, though not limited to, dogs rescued from the meat trade and hunting dogs in Spain. The Foundation is an all-volunteer registered charity in the USA.

The Helping Paws Foundation

The Helping Paws Foundation keeps military families united with their pets. All too often, troops who are willing to pay the ultimate price can’t afford to pay unexpected veterinary bills. We give back by providing low and no-cost veterinary care for service members and veterans in need. Our 501(c)(3) works to prevent premature relinquishment, or worse yet, economic euthanasia.

The Odd Cat Sanctuary

The Odd Cat Sanctuary is a nonprofit 501c (3) organization approved MA charity. Our mission with the Odd Cats of New England is simple, yet complex – our foundation regards the Odd Cats in every sense, be it a medical illness, a behavioral issue, abandoned, abused, neglected, feral, semi-feral, death row inmates, or physically challenged. While our cats cannot speak for themselves we have committed our time and effort to champion their cause. Cats have a magnificent presence that deserves to be defended through love, medical care, and affection in the fostering role first; and then with adoption options and placement in their forever home. We have developed the process toward adoption that supports our mission. Our adoption procedure is a three step method that nurtures a successful placement. Additionally, our rescue seeks to decrease the overpopulation in New England that is desperately challenged, this challenge to the overpopulation is where the Odd Cat thrives. We are entirely foster based, volunteer driven, and completely reliant on donations, contributions, and fund raising. Community support is our foundation.

We are a licensed North Carolina shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English Bullie rescues exceeds any you will find from a breed rescue. This love includes a high quality diet, the best veterinary care around from a bulldog specialist, and behavioral evaluations of the highest quality. We offer nutrition and lifelong wellness support to every adopter. We serve the state of North Carolina, the state of South Carolina and the state of Alabama. Made up of 150 volunteers, B2TR has rehomed almost 350 bullies and counseled hundreds of families to provide support, encouragement and training consults to help keep bullies in their homes. The national economic downturn in the past few years has presented some unexpected challenges for B2TR with an unprecedented rise in bulldog surrenders both by owner families and various animal care and control organizations that turn to B2TR for assistance in appropriate placements. Our dedicated group of volunteers has enabled us to not only respond to this increased need for our services but also to strategically expand both our service area and our exceptional Rescue Program which focuses on allergy issues, skin problems and large scale surrender situations.

The Gentle Barn Foundation

The Gentle Barn is a national nonprofit organization, founded in 1999 as a safe haven and place of recovery for severely abused animals. The Gentle Barn offers their unique philosophy of rehabilitating animals and connecting their stories of survival and healing to the personal experiences of inner city, at-risk and special needs children who have suffered physical, mental, or emotional trauma.
