Animal Rescue. We reduce abandoned and mistreated animals and find forever homes.

Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption is a non-profit pet adoption center. Our purpose is to save animals off death row from animal control facilities and to place them in their loving forever homes. In order for Unleashed to be successful, we follow these rules: Provide temporary shelter for homeless animals;Educate the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership as well as spay and neuter. We also educate on breed bans; andDevelop ongoing relationships with other shelters, rescues and businesses like Unleashed to create a strong network of people striving to improve the lives of homeless animals.

Newbark helps dogs find a home where they are wanted and loved, spayed or neutered and allowed to live their life as dogs, not fearful prisoners. Newbark has helped approximately 175 California dogs find new lives in homes on Vancouver Island. Approximately 32 Comox Valley dogs have been rehomed at no cost to the surrendering parties. At WUFAW, our mission is to be a leader in promoting and upholding the welfare of companion animals through education, advocacy, and direct action on a global scale. We aim to reduce the suffering of animals by implementing and supporting international programs to combat dog and cat overpopulation.

Davey's Voice is a nonprofit established in honor of puppy Davey, a horrific example of human cruelty wherein this puppy was brutally tortured to death. It is the mission of Davey’s Voice to establish positive change. We aim to: Create awareness regarding animal abuse. Empower the public to advocate for voiceless, victimized animals. Bring animal abusers to justice. Support projects and programs that promote animal welfare.

Pets without Vets was created in 2008 with the mission to enhance the human-animal bond and promote the welfare of animals by providing veterinary support, humane education, and resource development to international communities in need. Even animals born into poor socio-economic communities deserve the same basic health care as pets with privilege.
