Parrot Rescue Center

The Parrot Rescue Center of Costa Rica is a 501(c)3, non profit rescue center that collaborates with the local Costa Rican Ministry of the Environment and Energy (MINAE). Their primary focus is to rescue, rehabilitate, and, whenever possible, release parrots that have been kept in captivity illegally. It is a pivotal goal of the PRC Mission to release as many birds as possible so that they can fly free. For those that are unable to be released, they provide a permanent, safe environment that fulfills their physical, mental and social needs.

Valley Animal Center

The Valley Animal Center is dedicated to controlling the pet population through education and spaying/neutering, not euthanasia. We believe animals, as living creatures, deserve to be protected, respected, and given every consideration morally and ethically. Our mission is to assist with and provide for the health and welfare of the animals that have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured; to promote the bond between animals and people; and to instill an appreciation and respect for all living creatures with whom we share this earth.

Greyhound Adoption Center

They find loving homes for rescued track greyhounds and greyhound mixes. Their program focuses on each dog’s well-being, providing quality medical care and TLC as they transition to forever homes. The Greyhound Adoption Center ensures that each dog is well-matched to its new family. Transportation, food, shelter and medical care — often including extensive surgeries for broken legs sustained on the track — are provided. Many dogs are housed in cage-free modules complete with air conditioning and dog runs. The dogs socialize with people, other dogs, cats and children, all in an effort to assess their behavior via their expert profilers. Trained adoption representatives profile each dog and each adopter to find the right fit.

To protect, conserve and aid in the recovery of Hawai'i's native wildlife through hands-on treatment, research, training, science education and cultural programs.
