ARCAS seeks to support biodiversity conservation in Guatemala by - Enhancing the organizational capacity of organizations carrying out conservation activities in Guatemala - Increasing access of Guatemalan conservation organizations to US donors - Raising awareness in the US about the destructiveness of the illegal wildlife trade.

from the website: "PAWS (Providing Animals With Support) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, volunteer animal rescue organization founded in 2003. We rescue animals who are scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at shelters. We place them into foster homes or at our adoption center and then into quality permanent homes."

The specific purpose of KAHS is to develop & implement several projects that would help the poor & needy, and to improve the welfare of disadvantaged people living across the globe.
