Charleston Animal Society is recognized as a model for shelters all over including France and New Zealand. The Ocean Foundation (TOF) is a unique community foundation with a mission to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. Our slogan is "Tell Us What You Want To Do For The Ocean, We Will Take Care Of The Rest." We work with a community of donors who care about the coasts and oceans. In this manner, we grow the financial resources available to support marine conservation in order to promote healthy ocean ecosystems and benefit the human communities that depend on them. We operate using a well-established business model (the community foundation) to serve donors and partners interested in marine conservation. TOF does this by increasing the capacity of conservation organizations, hosting projects and funds, and supporting those working to improve the health of ocean species globally. To do this, we raise millions of dollars each year to support marine conservation. These funds come from individuals, corporate donors, private foundations, and governments. We meet our mission through five lines of business: Fiscal Sponsorship Fund services, Field of Interest grantmaking Funds, green Resort Partnerships, Committee and Donor Advised Funds, and Consulting services.

The Humane Society of Broward County provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to animals entrusted to our care, and educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals. The Humane Society of Broward County relies on the generosity of our community and companies to fund our operations and programs budget. We do not get funding from the government, United Way or any other national or local organizations with similar names. Income sources are: adoption fees; services such as dog obedience, vaccination clinics, spay/neuter programs; pet boutique sales; fundraising events; grants; general donations and from those people who leave the shelter in their will. Every dollar is carefully spent to help the unwanted animals.

The National Canine Cancer Foundation funds are used in eliminating cancer as a major health problem in dogs through education, outreach and research to save lives through prevention, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer.

The National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs through private support, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts. NPF programs fund park conservation and restoration efforts, foster youth engagement, promote citizenship and preserve history in the places where it happened.

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing shelter for lost, abused and unwanted animals since 1887. The Society is the oldest and largest animal protection organization in New York's Capital Region, receiving an average of over 6,000 animals per year. To carry out our work for the animals, MHHS receives no ongoing funding from federal, state or local governments or any other animal welfare organization. We rely on your generous donations to support our vital services for the animals.
