Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals, Inc is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization, dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of stray, abandoned and surrendered companion animals in central Massachusetts and beyond. We are located on the border between Rutland and Paxton, MA. Thanks to public and corporate donations, we can nurse the needy animals back to health, update their vaccinations and get them spayed/neutered as needed before placing them in warm, caring permanent homes.
Our mission is to ensure that all animals are treated with compassion and respect, and to end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation in our community.

Protect the welfare of animals, preserve the human-animal bond, and prevent the overpopulation of companion animals.
Within the organization's scope and reach, MSRH is dedicated to rescuing every abandoned or lost Miniature Schnauzer that we can and migrating them into a loving forever home. In the interim period, between rescue and adoption, our all-volunteer team provides temporary homes in a safe and loving environment, while we search for the perfect adopter. We never forget that most adoptive families see but a snapshot of our overall organization. As such, we strive to ensure a positive experience to give that snapshot exceptional clarity. Every adoption experience requires a network of committed volunteers, veterinarians, partners, and loving adoptive families who pay that love forward with gifts of time, talent, and treasure. We want every schnauzer to have a home. At MSRH, we make it happen.....one adoption at a time.

Abundant Blessings House of Hope's mission is to offer a supportive and safe place to learn trust, independence, and self-worth during pregnancy. We want women to understand that there are alternatives to abortions and will support them and help them find resources to either keep and raise their babies or find a fair and acceptable adoption option. We use resources such as teaching basic life skills, job seeking skills, and, on the therapeutic side, horses to teach trust and communication. We believe that where these women currently are is simply a snapshot, not a definition of who they are. Everyone has the ability to soar on wings like eagles if only given the eyes to see the opportunity and the belief that they can.
