Players For Pits

Players for Pits, NFP is an Illinois based 501c3 no-kill rescue committed to saving pit bulls and pit bull mix breed dogs. The rescue was founded in May of 2013 and has grown over the years to include many dedicated volunteers and professional athletes. Everyone involved at Players for Pits is active within the community and works diligently towards helping abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs. As a volunteer based rescue, all funds are reliant upon donations, grants, and sponsorships. Funds are used mostly for medical care for the dogs in our care, as well as training and general care for those that require rehabilitation. Our rescue is run with via the implementation of teams in order to create a cohesive and close knit community amongst our volunteers

Brooke USA’s mission is to significantly improve the health, welfare and productivity of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them for survival worldwide. We are committed to sustainable economic development by reducing poverty, increasing food security, providing access to water and raising basic standards of living through improved equine health and welfare. We accomplish this by raising funds and responsibly directing them to the areas of greatest need.Brooke USA raises funds to support a wide variety of programs for working horses, donkeys and mules to help them become (and remain) healthy and happy now and in the long-term, which also benefits the very poor families who depend on those animals to help them earn a living.

Kenway's Cause

Kenway's Cause raises funds in order to provide medical care to injured animals picked up by City of Hartford Animal Control that would otherwise be euthanized. Kenway's also supports adoptive families and rescue groups should a dog adopted from the City of Hartford Shelter have a pre-existing medical condition.

Purrfect Match

Purrfect Match is an all volunteer, non-profit, no kill cat rescue funded exclusively by donation. We partner with local kill shelters to save homeless cats and kittens that may otherwise be euthanized. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Foundation

KSRF is dedicated to providing financial assistance for the medical expenses of purebred rescued Keeshonden in foster care. KSRF is NOT a rescue group - it does NOT take responsibility for fostering or placing rescue Keeshonden. KSRF exists solely to raise and distribute funds to help defray medical costs incurred by individuals or rescue groups to which a foster dog belongs. KSRF's original mission focused on funding for Keeshonden rescued from puppy mills, but its scope has expanded over the years to aid dogs in foster care, regardless of origin. However, the organization retains its commitment to helping puppy mill dogs. KSRF is a Minnesota Not-For-Profit Corporation. Under IRS Code 501(c)(3) most gifts are tax deductible; check with your tax advisor.

Fur Ever Friends For Mercer County Animals

To assist with funding for needed veterinary services or other special needs above and beyond the county’s budgetary current standard of care for the animals. To raise money to help fund a new animal shelter building thereby reducing the burden on the county. To promote and support the spaying and neutering of animals thereby reducing the number of animals coming into the shelter. To raise awareness of Mercer country residents about the immediate needs and long term goals of the Animal Shelter. To help the county provide a safe and healthful environment for lost/homeless animals pending adoption in other ways not mentioned above as determined appropriate by Board of Directors. In conjunction with Mercer County Animal Control, support and promote an animal foster care program. In conjunction with Mercer County Animal Control, support and promote a shelter volunteer program.

Highland County Humane Society

MISSIONHighland County Humane Society (HCHS) is a private, non-profit organization that promotes the health, safety, welfare, compassionate care, and protection of animals in Highland County, Virginia and beyond. As volunteers, we’ve been working since 2012 to help neighbors with their pets, and to take in dogs and cats with no other hope. We have no shelter or staff. HCHS receives no county or state funding. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and foster homes, HCHS has rescued nearly 4,000 animals and has made life better for thousands more. HCHS is a 501(c)(3) organization. We’re funded through donations, grants, adoption fees, and fundraising events. Your tax-deductible donation provides day-to-day care, veterinary services, food, and shelter for dogs and cats in Highland County.

Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

We strive constantly to discover and house abused, suffering or at-risk dogs with the intention of altering the course of their lives through placement with appropriate, loving families. Educate the public about prevention of pet homelessness, convey details about adoptable dogs through our promotion efforts and conduct an ongoing fund-raising effort to support our organization.

TCA funds and facilitates the support of Thoroughbreds and the people who care for them. TCA is a charitable organization that provides grants to approved non-profit organizations that work toward improving the lives of Thoroughbred racehorses and the people who care for them. TCA offers the Thoroughbred industry and its supporters a way to give to one organization while helping many.

Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary

The Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary is dedicated to providing rescue, rehabilitation, basic medical care including spay/neuter, and adoption services for homeless, neglected, and surrendered companion animals in a county with no publicly funded humane society. Staffed by volunteers and 3 part-time employees, we also provide affordable vaccination, deworming, and microchipping at monthly community clinics.
