International Fund for Animal Welfare

Fresh thinking and bold action for animals, people, and the place we call home. Our vision is to see a world where animals are respected and protected. IFAW engineers solutions that benefit animals, people, and the planet, and activate where we are needed the most. About: IFAW is a global non-profit helping animals and people thrive together. We are experts and everyday people, working across seas, oceans, and in more than 40 countries around the world. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals, and we restore and protect their natural habitats. The problems we’re up against are urgent and complicated. To solve them, we match fresh thinking with bold action. We partner with local communities, governments, non-governmental organizations, and businesses. Together, we pioneer new and innovative ways to help all species flourish. See how at www.ifaw.org

When you donate to the California Wildfire Animal Relief Fund, you are supporting work on the ground by trusted nonprofit organizations. Every donation will be split evenly between Humane Society of Ventura County and Panda Paws Rescue in support of animals who have been evacuated, displaced and are in need of sanctuary due to the wildfires in California. Your support is needed now more than ever, as communities struggle to survive from the devastation caused by these fires. All donations are tax-deductible and each organization has been vetted by the Pledgeling Foundation.

Oceana

Oceana, the world's largest international organization focused exclusively on ocean conservation, was founded in 2001 by a group of leading foundations concerned that although the oceans constitute over 70 percent of the earth's surface, an extremely small percentage of environmental funding was dedicated to protecting them.  Oceana's campaigns are designed to change that by forcing clear, identifiable policy changes with real "in the water" results, usually in three to five years. Our international campaigns in North America, Europe, Chile, and Belize are focused on the actions agreed on by scientists throughout the world as necessary to preserve and restore marine life: Protect seafloor habitat from destructive bottom trawling; Set and enforce reasonable catch limits for commercial fishing; Stop subsidizing overcapacity in commercial fishing fleets; Stop marine pollution, particularly carbon dioxide emissions that are making the oceans more acidic; Oceana sets annual goals toward achieving specific changes and holds itself strictly accountable to its Board, funders, and supporters.  Since inception, Oceana has achieved dramatic success in protecting the world's oceans in targeted, practical ways.

Animal Adoption Center Enhancement Fund Of Rockwall

Our mission is to reduce the number of animals surrendered and euthanized at our local shelter. We provide life-saving treatment for heartworm positive shelter dogs in Rockwall. Dogs previously euthanized just for testing positive are now given a new life and turned from being unadoptable into adoptable! This allows animals to be adopted with the owner not having to assume the huge expense of treatment or the dog going without treatment. We strive to educate dog and cat owners about Heartworm Disease and impress upon owners the easy and inexpensive prevention of heartworm disease (versus the often difficult and expensive treatment).** Cats should be on prevention because there is no available treatment at this time.
