Since 1976 the Center for Whale Research (CWR) has been the leading organization studying the Southern Resident killer whales in their critical habitat: the Salish Sea. CWR performs health assessments to ensure the viability of the whale population, informing elected officials of their ecosystem needs, and sharing the whales’ story with the world. Our 43 years of research has created the only long-term data set about the behavior, health, and social dynamics of the Southern Resident killer whales.

Center For Animal Litigation

Laws throughout the country treat companion animals as mere property, denying them basic rights often leading to their death. The Center pursues high impact litigation and legal challenges against archaic and constitutionally infirm animal laws to save these animals and advance their fundamental rights against government indifference and abuse. We have saved hundreds of animals in dangerous dog bite defense proceedings, pet custody disputes, evictions and other situations where the law does not protect them and their owners. The Center’s mission is to foremost save lives, protect at-risk animals and cause critical change in the law so it reflects the value people place on their animals today.

Panther Ridge Conservation Center

Part habitat, part haven, part labor of feline love, the Panther Ridge Conservation Center is above all else a home for some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered big cats. Panther Ridge is a 501 ©(3) nonprofit institution that is dedicated to conservation through education. Our center is home to over 20 big cats representing nine different species. We strive to engage the public with our feline ambassadors so that they may become aware of the plight of big cats in the wild. Once a cat is accepted by Panther Ridge, it will never again need a home, or be at risk of neglect or mishandling. Our animals are treated with kindness, respect, and gratitude for their part in conservation.

Wolf Conservation Center Foundation

The Wolf Conservation Center teaches people about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future. Founded by Hélène Grimaud in 1999, the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit environmental education organization working to protect and preserve wolves in North America through science-based education, advocacy, and participation in the federal recovery and release programs for two critically endangered wolf species - the Mexican gray wolf and red wolf. The WCC's three 'ambassador wolves' reside on exhibit where they help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment. Through wolves, the WCC teaches the broader message of conservation, ecological balance, and personal responsibility for improved human stewardship of our World.

FPAC’s Mission StatementFarmington Pet Adoption Center is a limited access, no-kill shelter providing lifesaving care and treatment to abandoned and unwanted pets in Missouri’s Parkland. We find loving forever homes for every adoptable pet. In addition, we strive to reduce pet over-population, expose and assist in the prosecution of pet cruelty, and educate the public on responsible pet guardianship

Marine Mammal Stranding Center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (which has the privilege of housing the only marine mammal stranding facility in New Jersey) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of stranded or otherwise distressed marine mammals and sea turtles along the 1,800 mile New Jersey coast and inter-coastal waterways. MMSC is further committed to the preservation of our oceans and the education of the next generation through public information and internship programs.
