The Austin Humane Society (AHS) is an independent nonprofit shelter that offers comprehensive, humane, life-saving animal services. AHS offers innovative, nationally recognized programs that save the lives of thousands of dogs and cats each year. AHS' approach to addressing the critical needs of animals encompasses finding animals homes through adoption, serving animals and people in times of crisis, preventing future homelessness though spay and neuter programs, and engaging the community to be a part of the solution.

Minnesota-based K9s From Carrie is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States to shine light on mental health awareness through education and the pairing of individuals with dogs to help manage mental illness and reduce suicide. We believe people of all ages and backgrounds suffering from mental illness deserve respect and support rather than embarrassment and shame. Our primary objective is to provide support to people in mental health crisis by sponsoring the purchase and training of emotional support dogs. We do this by 1) pairing a physically and emotionally sound dog with individuals as well as sponsoring obedience and emotional support training to that dog, and by 2) sponsoring obedience and emotional support training for an existing dog belonging to an individual or family. K9s From Carrie also promotes mental health and suicide prevention awareness through events and speaking engagements.

We create joy experiences for chronically and terminally ill children & their families by surrounding them with a Pile of Puppies.

A completely free service for our nations veterans with PTSD, we match our veterans with the "just right" companion animals, vetted and trained by our national board approved trainers!

To rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected farmed animals, educate the public to the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, and promote sustainability. We serve nationally.

Paws Assisting Veterans is dedicated to improving the lives of veterans suffering from mental and/or physical disabilities through trained service dogs, empowering them and their families to achieve lifelong successes and to pave their way home.

Dogs for Better Lives (formerly Dogs for the Deaf) is a national award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit organization rescuing, professionally training, and providing Assistance Dogs since 1977. We have three Assistance Dog programs: Hearing Assistance Dogs placed nationally, Facility Assistance Dogs placed nationally, and Autism Assistance Dogs placed in Oregon, Washington, and California. Donations assist the organization in numerous ways, including: rescuing dogs all across the western United States, veterinarian expenses, professional training, placement with clients, and follow-ups during the lifetime of the dog. There is no charge to the client for one of our dogs.

The Gentle Barn is a national nonprofit organization, founded in 1999 as a safe haven and place of recovery for severely abused animals. The Gentle Barn offers their unique philosophy of rehabilitating animals and connecting their stories of survival and healing to the personal experiences of inner city, at-risk and special needs children who have suffered physical, mental, or emotional trauma. By interacting with The Gentle Barn’s approximate two hundred animals and taking a hands-on role in their welfare, those who participate in the programs at The Gentle Barn learn empathy, trust, and forgiveness. The Gentle Barn is run by Founder Ellie Laks and her husband and Co-founder Jay Weiner, both of whom were healed and supported by animals as children. The Gentle Barn’s mission is simple: “Inspiring Kindness and Compassion towards Animals, Our Planet, and Each Other.”
