The Gentle Barn is a national nonprofit organization, founded in 1999 as a safe haven and place of recovery for severely abused animals. The Gentle Barn offers their unique philosophy of rehabilitating animals and connecting their stories of survival and healing to the personal experiences of inner city, at-risk and special needs children who have suffered physical, mental, or emotional trauma. By interacting with The Gentle Barn’s approximate two hundred animals and taking a hands-on role in their welfare, those who participate in the programs at The Gentle Barn learn empathy, trust, and forgiveness. The Gentle Barn is run by Founder Ellie Laks and her husband and Co-founder Jay Weiner, both of whom were healed and supported by animals as children. The Gentle Barn’s mission is simple: “Inspiring Kindness and Compassion towards Animals, Our Planet, and Each Other.”

The Brittany Foundation Animal Sanctuary was founded in 1994 to rescue, rehabilitate, care for and find homes for homeless dogs, including dogs from animal shelters, puppy mills, strays, and victims of foreclosures and hospice situations. Dogs remain at the Sanctuary until they find a home, no matter how long it takes.

The Seeing Eye is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs.

Our Mission Building a community of caring by helping pets and educating people. The Anti-Cruelty Society is committed to caring and shall: • Provide compassionate care for any animal in need • Attempt to find a home for every healthy or rehabilitatable cat and dog that comes to us • Intervene to prevent cruelty to animals • Partner with the community to educate on animal issues and inspire compassion and respect • Provide low- or no-cost spaying or neutering

Guide Dogs for the Blind provides enhanced mobility to qualified individuals through partnership with dogs whose unique skills are developed and nurtured by dedicated volunteers and a professional staff. Established in 1942, Guide Dogs for the Blind continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them.

Our Charity is a rehab program for unwanted, neglected dogs that we save from being euthanized. We then train and socialize those dogs to become loving companions for trafficked, abused or disabled children and teens that have been saved and have recovered from a qualified rehabilitation program. Bella SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created to assist low-income, elderly, or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded, and to provide foster homes and find permanent loving homes for rescued animals. Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or die because the people who love them cannot financially absorb the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care. At Bella SPCA, we believe every animal deserves to receive the best possible care regardless of the owner’s ability to pay.

Providing quality food and vital veterinary care for the family pets of anyone in honest need, helping keep these animals safe, healthy and out of the shelters.

THE PRIMARY MISSION of the Mustang Heritage Foundation is to create and promote programs and activities that provide information and education about wild horses and burros, elevate their image and desirability, provide opportunities to become involved in the wild horse and burro experience and secure adequate numbers of caring homes for excess horses. Working in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management the Mustang Heritage Foundation works to ensure healthy wild herds and rangelands through the placement of excess animals removed from public lands so future generations can enjoy this distinctive part of our American heritage.  As a 501 (C)(3), public, charitable, nonprofit organization, the Mustang Heritage Foundation works to identify and develop sources of private financial funding to further support the mission of the Foundation.

The mission of the United Pegasus Foundation is to provide a safe haven for equines coming off the racetracks or horses that have been retired from breeding. The United Pegasus Foundation believes that no equine should be denied a second career or a dignified retirement, no matter the reason. Since 1994, we have proudly provided retirements, rehabilitation and adoptions to hundreds of former race horses, and thousands of other breeds, keeping them from an uncertain destiny.

Warrior Ranch Foundation envisions a world where veterans and rehabilitated horses realize their productive future in society. Through horse interaction, Warrior Ranch provides a safe haven of healing and well-being for veterans, first responders and horses in need.

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF) is a non-profit, tax exempt organization providing humane care and services for horses in need of lifetime homes, and in crisis, through rehabilitation, training, adoption, lifelong follow-up, or lifetime sanctuary; and offers therapeutic equine opportunities for children, and adults.
