Lost Pet Services

Lost Pet Services, Inc. is a highly dedicated volunteer-based organization that reunites lost pets with their families through systematic, free pet recovery services and educational resources in the Sarasota and Manatee counties area. All services provided are free of charge to our community.  By providing microchipping, ID tags, financial support to those struggling with shelter fees, emergency vet care for injured stray pets and temporary kennel care for strays, we are able to keep more family pets out of the overcrowded local shelters and home safe with their families. As Gandhi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

Project Street Vet

Project Street Vet is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet was founded by veterinarian Dr. Kwane Stewart, who for the past decade has provided free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness – walking areas of high homelessness to seek pets and pet parents in need. You can read his full bio here. We are committed to protecting the human-animal bond that is so vital to the livelihood of pets and the people who love them. Leading with compassion, kindness, and no judgements, we seek out and assist the pets and people who need it most.

Laurel Cats

Laurel Cats is a community based, all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to finding and implementing ways for free-roaming "community" cats to live harmoniously alongside people, their homes, and their businesses throughout Laurel, Maryland while humanely reducing their numbers. We are working towards a day when all Laurel cats have a good indoor home.

Compassion Without Borders

Compassion without Borders brings brighter futures to animals in need on both sides of the border. We focus our efforts where the need is the greatest, but where animals are the very least likely to be helped due to financial, geographic, and cultural barriers. Our programs include a dog rescue program from Mexico and the Central Valley, along with free veterinary wellness and spay/neuter clinics in underserved communities on both sides of the border. We also have a humane euthanasia program in Mexico, where we are actively working to stop electrocution, a common method of killing unwanted animals south of the border.

Rescue City

Rescue City is a no-kill, non-profit pet rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption organization. We believe it is our moral responsibility to defend the lives of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. We take on helpless stray and surrendered animals, as well as those at the top of the euthanasia list at local and national shelters. We place our rescues in nurturing foster homes while they rebuild their lives through physical and mental rehabilitation. Following a hassle free adoption process, our Rescues are placed in loving & committed permanent homes. Our commitment to our rescues does not stop once the adoption paperwork is signed. We stress the importance of responsible pet ownership, and we educate our Fosters, Adopters, and community on what it means to be a good pet owner.
