Haven Humane Society is a nonprofit, charitable organization in Redding, CA established in 1952. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals. We work to improve the lives of animals and their guardians in the North State region of California. As the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, we provide care for over 43,000 homeless and companion animals annually. For more than 128 years, we have been committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in the community and across the region as a 4-Star Charity Navigator rated nonprofit ranking in the top 1 percent nationally. Our Mission is to promote, protect and advance the well-being of Louisiana's companion animals.

ABOUT LONG BEACH SPAY AND NEUTER FOUNDATION: https://www.facebook.com/LongBeachSN/ Operating since 1997 and formally established in 2004, Long Beach Spay and Neuter Foundation (LBSN) is committed to reducing pet overpopulation and improving the welfare of animals in greater Long Beach, California. We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit (501(c)(3)), no-kill cat/dog rescue group. We rely exclusively on adoption fees and donations for our operating budget of typically less than $50,000 per year, most of which goes to veterinary expenses. Every year we are forced to turn away more people and animals than we are actually able to help due to insufficient funds. Services we provide include: Low cost spay/neuter assistance and veterinary referrals Basic pet welfare services, including flea/parasite/deworming treatment and routine vaccinations Adoption services for cats and a limited number of dogs (although the latter is growing rapidly) Assistance with trapping stray and feral animals Educational materials to promote successful pet ownership Assistance to feral cat caretakers with spay/neutering and trapping We receive no tax dollars, no municipal, state or federal funds, and none of our members are paid for their time. Since 1997, we have placed thousands of homeless cats rescued from the streets and saved through community efforts. In 2012 alone, we facilitated the sterilization of 624 animals and thereby prevented the births of thousands of unwanted animals. In addition, we found homes for 122 animals and funded medical treatment for 57 cats and dogs. OUR MISSION: Our mission is to stop the unnecessary suffering of animals caused by tremendous pet overpopulation, especially in Southern California. We strongly advocate the spaying and neutering of all pets regardless of breed, sex, or age as it is the most effective way to limit the number of animals born into situations of inadequate care and/or abuse and to end the senseless killing of healthy animals by our animal shelter system. We support the transformation of Long Beach into a No-Kill community, where no healthy, adoptable companion-animal is destroyed. We believe the only way this can be achieved is through aggressive, proactive approaches that focus on programs that save lives, specifically spay/neutering, fostering, volunteering and educating. We also believe you cannot ignore the stray and feral populations and thus practice Trap Neuter Return (TNR) and subsequent feeding and care of these animals. Established in 2004, Long Beach Spay Neuter Foundation mission is to reduce animal suffering caused by pet overpopulation and to improve the welfare of animals in the greater Long Beach, California area. Specifically, we strongly advocate that all animals are spayed and neutered, regardless of breed, sex, or age. By spaying/neutering, we are reducing the number of cats and dogs born into situations of inadequate care and abuse. We are also limiting the numbers of unwanted animals relinquished to Long Beach Animal Care Services. where they are often euthanized for lack of space. This program offers spay and neuter assistance and basic veterinary treatment - including flea and parasite treatment and routine vaccinations - to needy or unowned animals, typically cats. It also provides humane education to community and civic groups on the care of animals and the importance of spaying/neutering in population control. The organization also has a limited intake, no-kill adoption program. Most animals are rescued from the streets. All animals are in foster homes. Animals are never euthanized for space. OUR ADOPTION PROGRAM: Cats and dogs that are rescued by LBSN are fostered in our own homes, so our caregivers have keen insight into the animals available for adoption. This includes insight into what kind of an environment, including food, toys, litter, and co-inhabitants (other pets, children, etc.), will make for a successful adoption and what homes should not be considered. We visit the homes of people that are interested prior to adopting out any animal and check veterinarian references for those who have previously owned pets. In addition, we perform a formal written and verbal evaluation of the potential adopter to ensure that our rescued animals are being placed in a loving, forever home that is best suited for both the adoptee and adopter.

Lost Pet Services, Inc. is a highly dedicated volunteer-based organization that reunites lost pets with their families through systematic, free pet recovery services and educational resources in the Sarasota and Manatee counties area. All services provided are free of charge to our community.  By providing microchipping, ID tags, financial support to those struggling with shelter fees, emergency vet care for injured stray pets and temporary kennel care for strays, we are able to keep more family pets out of the overcrowded local shelters and home safe with their families. As Gandhi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

Rescue City is a no-kill, non-profit pet rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption organization. We believe it is our moral responsibility to defend the lives of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. We take on helpless stray and surrendered animals, as well as those at the top of the euthanasia list at local and national shelters. We place our rescues in nurturing foster homes while they rebuild their lives through physical and mental rehabilitation. Following a hassle free adoption process, our Rescues are placed in loving & committed permanent homes. Our commitment to our rescues does not stop once the adoption paperwork is signed. We stress the importance of responsible pet ownership, and we educate our Fosters, Adopters, and community on what it means to be a good pet owner.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is one of the leading non-profit, no-kill animal shelters in Washington State. Our mission is to give homeless animals a second chance through rescue, shelter and adoption. Located in Woodinville, Homeward Pet finds new homes for over 1600 cats and dogs, puppies and kittens every year. We are dedicated to providing excellent care to our animals, and great service to our two-legged visitors. As a privately funded 501(c)3 charity, we rely completely on donor support to help us provide food, shelter, vet care and more to each homeless cat or dog in our care. Over 75% of every dollar donated goes to the care of our animals.

SUGAR'S GIFT, INC. Our mission is to provide hospice, euthanasia and end-of-life veterinary services for terminally ill pets in their own homes. This allows them a comfortable, peaceful setting, where they have lived and been loved, to cross over the Rainbow Bridge with dignity. Our services overcome conditions that could be due to the pet's inability to be moved or treated at a facility, or due to the owner's inability to leave the home. Our 10-year old Yorkie, Sugar, passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2013. We made sure she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge from home with comfort, dignity and peace. Sugar's Gift to your Little Angel is to allow them the same privilege: Sugar is helping them cross over the Rainbow Bridge from home, with the help from others who have donated funds to make that happen. Every Little Angel should be able to spend their last moments in the place they are most comfortable - at home. SUGAR'S GIFT, INC. is the only non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in the country whose mission is to help terminally ill pets cross over the Rainbow Bridge from home with comfort, dignity and peace.

Spay Neuter Network's mission is to to eliminate pet overpopulation through subsidized spay/neuter services, while empowering communities to care responsibly for dogs and cats.

We are a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to ending the overpopulation and suffering of unwanted cats and kittens. We feel the best way for us to meet this challenge is to offer high-quality, low-cost spay-neuter services to owned and community cats alike. We hope that by ending the cycles of unwanted litters, we can help make every cat a cared for cat.

Coalition for Pets empowers local stakeholders to develop and grow mobile spay and neuter programs in unserved communities, with the objective of mitigating animal suffering resulting from overpopulation. Our vision is that suffering and cruelty to animals born into homelessness will not plague our future generations.
