Blue Ridge Wildlife Center (BRWC) embraces the compelling mission of caring for native wildlife by integrating veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, education, and research. We are a full-service wildlife teaching hospital and rehabilitation facility that cares for native wildlife by treating animals in need and by educating citizens on how to protect animals and their habitat in perpetuity. With these two goals, we aim for greater native biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for the benefit of all living things.

Founded in 1868, the mission of the San Francisco SPCA is to save and protect animals, provide care and treatment, advocate for their welfare and enhance the human-animal bond.

We are a non-profit sea turtle hospital that promotes conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles.

Pet Refuge is a not-for-profit; no-kill animal shelter run by volunteers for the placement of unwanted and abandoned pets into responsible permanent homes.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless believes in the healing power of companion pets and of the human/animal bond which is very important in the lives of many homeless. They find solace, protection and companionship through their pets. They care for their pets on limited resources so they themselves have less. Our task, nationwide, is to feed and provide basic emergency veterinary care to their pets and thus relieve the anguish and anxiety of the homeless who cannot provide for their pets. Kitten Rescue was founded in the spring of 1997 and has grown to become one of the largest and well-respected rescue groups in Los Angeles. We are a non-profit, totally volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving new homes for unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. We are equally dedicated to giving the public vital information about responsible pet ownership, care of kittens and cats, managing feral cats, and most importantly, the importance of spaying and neutering. The majority of our cats are cared for in foster homes until they are placed with adopters, who are screened carefully to ensure the stability and quality of an animal's new environment. Before going home, each cat or kitten is fixed, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped. We also provide full medical care for the cats in our care until they are adopted. Since May 2005, Kitten Rescue has operated the Casitas Hotel for Cats, a private, no-kill shelter and boarding facility in Atwater Village. Kitten Rescue purchased the facility in March 2006.

The Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) has been serving the community since 1961, and endeavors to strengthen the human-animal bond by advocating and compassionately caring for animals. HSCO is a Socially Conscious Shelter that strives to ensure the best possible outcomes for homeless companion animals in our care and the community. At the core, HSCO works in collaboration with partners and the community to support the individual needs of people and their pets by providing access to thoughtful resources and services to improve the welfare of all vulnerable animals. Last Chance Animal Rescue operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. We take in cats and dogs from more than 50 high-kill shelters in 12 states and provide disaster-relief services for pets. We partner with more than 30 PetSmart and Petco stores in the region and provide full service in-store cat adoptions. We promote and provide low cost, high quality spay/neuter of companion animals and provide educational material to retain these animals in the home.
