Friends Fur Life Rescue is a 501(c)3, a non-profit organization that is strictly made up of animal-loving volunteers. Their mission is to rescue “at-risk” dogs and cats that have been discarded and forgotten. They focus on the seniors, the ones with health issues and those abandoned, abused or neglected. Many animals we take in have extensive health or behavior issues and are pulled from local shelters before they are euthanized. Their only goal is to give every animal their furever home.

Friends of the Sea Otter is committed to and advocates for the conservation of sea otters and the preservation of their habitat through education, research, and policy decisions that will ensure the long-term survival of this species and the health of the marine coastal environment.

Ocean Alliance strives to increase public awareness of the importance of whale and ocean health through research and public education. We work with our scientific partners to collect a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life. Ocean Alliance uses this data to advise educators, policy makers, and the general public on wise stewardship of the oceans to mitigate pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, and promote ocean and human health. The Center for Whale Research is dedicated to the study and conservation of the Southern Resident killer whale (orca) population in the Pacific Northwest. Since 1976 the Center for Whale Research (CWR) has been the leading organization studying the Southern Resident killer whales in their critical habitat: the Salish Sea. CWR performs health assessments to ensure the viability of the whale population, informing elected officials of their ecosystem needs, and sharing the whales’ story with the world. Our 43 years of research has created the only long-term data set about the behavior, health, and social dynamics of the Southern Resident killer whales.

Western Rivers Conservancy protects outstanding river ecosystems in the western United States. We acquire land to conserve critical habitat, provide public access for compatible use and enjoyment, and cooperate with other agencies and organizations to secure the health of whole ecosystems.

ATR provides for the protection and education about all species of tortoise and turtle. We offer permanent sanctuary to abandoned tortoises. Foundlings that cannot be adopted because of ill health or because they are in danger of extinction remain in the care of American Tortoise Rescue for the remainder of their lives.

To provide a home for abused, unwanted, and orphaned children and animals. To provide an education for a culturally diverse group of children: school, improved social skills, and emotional stability are part of our plan to help break the cycle of poverty and destructive behavior. To provide an awareness through our rehab/education programs which emphasizes that all living things have value no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. Florida Wildlife Hospital is open 365 days a year to admit native Florida wildlife. On average, 5,000 animals are admitted per year and there is never a charge for patient care. Our mission is to keep wildlife wild by providing quality, compassionate care. The mission of the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation is to promote and inspire passion for the conservation of Common Loons. With the Common Loon as our centerpiece, our work encompasses scientifically driven research on loon health and population dynamics; educational outreach to residents and visitors in the Adirondack Park; wildlife biology and conservation training for college students and volunteers; and conservation and management activities related to maintaining robust populations of Common Loons in New York state and throughout North America.

Bushlife Conservancy is dedicated to protecting and preserving African wildlife in its native habitat. The most important work we do is anti-poaching and conservation in Mana Pools National Park, which is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, and the Zambezi River Valley of Zimbabwe and Zambia. We also monitor and track iconic bull elephants, develop infrastructure to establish ongoing ranger presence in vulnerable areas, and provide funding to support local community health and welfare needs.
