The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama’s oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation facility and annually receives almost 1,800 birds from over 100 different species. AWC is a nonprofit organization whose dual mission is: To provide medical and rehabilitative care for Alabama’s injured and orphaned native birds in order to permit their return to the wild. To educate people in order to heighten awareness, appreciation and conservation of Alabama’s native wildlife. Through Education, research and rescue, Dolphin Research Center promotes peaceful coexistence, cooperation and communication between marine mammals, humans and the environment we share with the well-being of DRC’s animals taking precedence.

Pelican Harbor Seabird Station is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation & release of sick, injured or orphaned brown pelicans, seabirds & other native wildlife & the preservation and protection of these species through educational and scientific means.While we’re still famous for our work with brown pelicans, we have expanded our work to assist all native wildlife. Our facility receives thousands of sick, injured, orphaned and displaced wild animals each year. Beyond our wildlife rehabilitation program, we provide educational programming to local schools and community groups. We assist local municipalities and residents with humane resolution of human-wildlife conflicts. We also pair with other organizations and government agencies on research efforts that seek to protect wildlife

Ensuring snow leopard survival and conserving mountain landscapes by expanding environmental awareness and sharing innovative practices through community stewardship and partnerships.The Snow Leopard Conservancy (SLC) works with local partners and herder communities, the front line in preserving the biodiversity of Central Asia’s high mountains by providing technical and financial assistance for activities linked to stewardship and biodiversity conservation. Our programs build community ownership of projects, long-term self-reliance, and ecosystem health. We involve communities in non-invasive baseline research on snow leopards, their prey and habitat, blending western science with indigenous knowledge.

Nashville Zoo's mission is to inspire a culture of understanding and discovery of our natural world through conservation, innovation and leadership. Utilizing diverse learning opportunities, the Zoo’s overall conservation and education message is to provide visitors of all ages a better understanding of and connection with the natural world. We strive to inspire and empower positive attitudes to affect change for the better. Conservation is a critical part of Nashville Zoo’s mission. Through our Wild Works Global Conservation initiatives we are actively involved in research, habitat protection, breeding programs and education initiatives around the globe as well as in our own backyard.
