In an agreement with the Texas Historical Commission, the Admiral Nimitz Foundation manages and provides financial support to the National Museum of the Pacific War in order to: ·        -preserve and exhibit the material history of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz; ·        -preserve and exhibit the material history of the war in the Pacific-Asiatic Theater during World War II; ·       - offer and participate in programs that honor all veterans past and present, and in programs that provide strategic insights into national security issues affecting our country; ·       - support education concerning the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II; and, ·        -provide the general public, researchers, students, teachers and historians with a readily accessible platform for the exploration of the War in the Pacific-Asiatic during World War II.

The Baron Jay Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) federally tax exempt nonprofit organization that was legally incorporated in 2004. We are committed to promoting health awareness, relationship guidance, employment preparedness arts education, and financial literacy in economically distressed and underserved communities. We host workshops and programs for at-risk youth that prepare them to become responsible, civic-minded, respectful, and productive citizens. We also sponsor free training programs in computer skills training and English literacy to local communities in underdeveloped regions of the world such as West Central Africa. One of our main goals is to increase digital literacy through computer skill development in poverty stricken communities. All of our workshops are designed to give our beneficiaries practical life-skills that promote self-esteem, empathy, stress reduction, anger management, academic improvement, and civic leadership. The Children's Radio Foundation (CRF) uses radio training and broadcast to create opportunities for youth dialogue, participation, leadership, and active citizenship. Through giving youth the tools and skills to produce radio, young people are mobilized to engage in productive dialogue about the issues they face, and work together to improve their lives and communities. With 74 youth radio projects across six African countries, CRF works with radio stations and CBOs to create local platforms for discussion, information sharing, social engagement, and action. Our reporters take on issues that resonate with youth in their community, including but not limited to children's rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, power dynamics in teenage relationships, gender norms and stereotypes, HIV and AIDS-related issues, climate change, and the environment. Speaking in local languages and in a youth-friendly style, they interview community members, host debates, and bring out local perspectives. Their reporting projects, broadcasts, and outreach activities are geared to generate discussion about issues facing youth.

The Close Up Foundation brings citizens from throughout the nation and around the world to Washington, D.C., for a firsthand look at the federal government and the development of public policy. A nonprofit, nonpartisan civic education organization, Close Up connects individuals of all ages to their communities and institutions through challenging education programs and products. By building partnerships with the education community, the private and philanthropic sectors, and all branches and levels of government, Close Up makes civic participation a dynamic and meaningful experience. Since its founding in 1970, Close Up has remained focused on the values of citizenship and the importance of an educated electorate, aware that democracy is a constantly renewing experience that must be taught and shared with each new generation. It has continued a strong organizational determination to make the democratic process available to students from every background, and places special emphasis on outreach to disadvantaged young people, with fellowship programs for low-income students, minority students, migrant students, recent immigrants, American Indians, Alaska Natives, the hearing and visually impaired, and other students with special needs.

The DJ DEMP Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Tallahassee, Florida. We transform the lives of at-risk youth through education and advocacy. We help at-risk youth identify bullying and prevent bullying through positive problem-solving. We believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our mission is to provide a creative learning environment for youth with a particular emphasis on problem solving and youth development to prevent bullying. Our anti-bullying program focuses on eradicating bullying, ridiculing, teasing, and harassment in school. Bullying has a serious and lasting negative effect on the mental health and overall well-being of youth. We work to combat the negative outcomes of bullying, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and poor social performance. Our program centers on aiding students in identifying what bullying is and helping parents train their children on how to recognize bullying and stand up to bullies. We focus on social-emotional learning. We use music to address social issues. Music is an effective tool for supporting students in learning. It gives students a unique opportunity to express themselves creatively and build confidence. Music also improves cognitive and non-cognitive skills and helps develop language skills in children. We provide access to problem-solving workshops that help at-risk kids improve self-esteem and encourage creative expression. Music Inspires

Our mission is simple: we inspire young people to discover the power of their voice. Using one-on-one mentorship, low-income students learn how to write original stories and see them brought to life on stage and film. Thanks to thousands of volunteer mentors, actors, and professional teaching artists, we serve more than 60 public schools in Los Angeles and New York City, reaching 1,200 students in elementary, middle, and high school each year. As a result, young people learn that their voice matters.
