Free Arts sparks the creative spirit of children who have experienced abuse, homelessness, neglect, and other factors that put children and families at risk. The goal of Free Arts programs is to inspire and transform lives through the power of artistic expression. Our mission is to broaden and enhance the educational opportunities for children ages 10 and under and to enhance their understanding of the world. The Museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning, and supports parents, caregivers and educator's as facilitators of children's explorations. To achieve its mission, the museum builds collaborations and pursues strategies that welcome all families to join in the Stepping Stones learning community. As a multi-dimensional resource in the region, the museum offers exhibits, programs and services that take an interactive approach to promote early learning.
For 30 years, the Austin Summer Musical for Children has provided free musical theatre for the youth of central Texas. Through partnerships with local businesses and other non-profit organizations, we use drama, music and literature to enrich our community and provide an outlet for continued learning and growth.
